I’m already fed up of Starmer as PM

Semi- lighthearted, I know it’s early days, but I’m not convinced of Starmer as an effective leader
He reads from his notes even when giving a short speech; if he really believed in what he is saying, why the need?
He doesn’t seem to have the leadership X factor and doesn’t seem to have a grip on the ongoing riots
Bright new start for UK? Doesn’t feel like it

Well there you go. The Sun are screening it. They qualify as MSM presumably.

Well don't believe the BBC then when they are reporting a 'gang of youths', they are racist thugs, grown men who attacked a man whilst he was having a drink.

They reported a group of Muslim youths. Why did you miss that bit out?

Are you talking about the attack on the man in the pub?

Are you talking about the attack on the man in the pub?

Yes, I linked to the BBC story above.

2dogsandabudgie · 06/08/2024 11:12

Well that BBC story doesn't say anything about the attack. So these are two different incidents, although at the same place. The youths damaged the pub and cars, so they can be classed as thugs, but the attack on the man having a drink was by masked racist adult thugs. The article doesn't mention that.

Charlie2121 · 06/08/2024 11:18

noblegiraffe · 06/08/2024 10:54

Why have you pluralised a single incident? That's very odd.

Also, are you going to accept that this comment of yours

The MSM has clearly been given instructions not to highlight the incidents as it doesn’t play into Starmer’s divisive politics.

Is false?

No. It is patently not false. It may suit your agenda to claim it is but evidence suggests otherwise.

It was all part of the same incident. Have you seen the other footage of the pub? It was much bigger than that attack which looks like it was at the start.

The BBC article mentions assault.

I think if you were to look at the incidents going on around the country, there's an awful lot of assaults going on as part of them.

Charlie2121 · 06/08/2024 11:18

No. It is patently not false. It may suit your agenda to claim it is but evidence suggests otherwise.

The evidence that it is false is the mainstream media reporting on the incidents which you said that they had specifically been instructed not to report on.

Where are the videos, you said?

So you were presented with reports, and videos.

Therefore it patently is false.

Talking about agendas, why did you pluralise that single event?

The party told you to reject the evidence of your eyes and ears. It was their final, most essential command.

2dogsandabudgie · 06/08/2024 11:25

Well the BBC article isn't very clear. They have mentioned the youths, then mentioned damage to the pub and cars and an assault. So it's not clear whether the youths assaulted someone as well, but what I am saying is that the assault on the man was by adult men.

Yes, you are indeed rejecting the evidence.

Quoting 1984 isn't an answer to the question. But then you have no honest answer to give anyway.

Again you are missing the point where the BBC specified that they were Muslim. Does that not suit you?

Having watched the video I'm surprised that their age is the hill you are willing to die on.

noblegiraffe · 06/08/2024 11:32

Just realised, do you think youth means child? 'Youth' can also apply to adults.

noblegiraffe · 06/08/2024 11:32

No it can't. Definition of youth "the period between childhood and adult age".

NewGirlinClass · 06/08/2024 11:39

The Prime Minister has not yet given replies that will convince people to stop their violent and anti-social behaviour.
One of the questions yesterday was about 2 Tier Policing. His reply was brief.
"It has not happened". "The police will enforce the law without fear or favour".
That was all he said. There has been no attempt to justify the Soft Touch response to The Anti Israel demonstrations, No acknowledgement of the different way of Policing Islamic protests.
However unreasonable or wrong the 'Tommy Robinson' arguments are unless these are addressed and until the perpetrators on the streets accept they were wrong resentment will remain.

"Who Are the Youth?
There is no universally agreed international definition of the youth age group. For statistical purposes, however, the United Nations—without prejudice to any other definitions made by Member States—defines ‘youth’ as those persons between the ages of 15 and 24 years."

You cannot object to the BBC reporting that youths attacked the pub on the basis that they were young men, when there are definitions of youth that include young men.

See also the term 'youth unemployment ', generally held to encompass people aged 15 to 24. Picking this term.as something to take issue with suggests a lack of understanding of the English language.

Oh come on you're clutching at straws now, it's almost laughable. Everyone knows that an adult is not a youth.

2dogsandabudgie · 06/08/2024 12:11

An adult is 18 and over. So they are either young men ie over the age of 18 or youths.

noblegiraffe · 06/08/2024 12:18

No it suits your agenda to call anyone white a racist thug, yobs etc but when it's Muslims funny how the language changes and they are just "youths" up to the age of 24.

Both sides are wearing masks and have weapons. Say it for what it is racist thuggish behaviour from both sides.

If you're referring to me, you're the one denying evidence and picking and choosing words to suit your own agenda. You admitted that you hadn't even watched the video of the man in the pub.
