It won't be quite the end of the thread though - because I'm hoping to come back at the end of August and do a little snapshot of the Playmo Paralympics...

I think the Playmo paralymics is going to need its own thread!

@Definitelytheothersideof40 I'll have to start a new thread for the closing ceremony anyway, as I already have too many photos to fit on this one! So the Paralympics can follow on from that.

Oh and just a few words about the sports I didn't feature...

Marathon - would have been quite tricky getting lots of different street scenes together.
Relay races - chronic shortage of Playmo athletes, I had to double up as it was, using some for more than one sport.
Pole vault - couldn't find the right sort of pole, or tall enough supports for the bar.
Hurdles - could have used road barriers, but they would have been too wide for the running lanes.
Velodrome cycling - totally stumped by how to make a velodrome let alone secure the cycles on it!
Breakdancing - no actual Playmo breakdancers
Single hulled sailing - desperate dinghy shortage.

Golf - only just remembered I had golf clubs but no balls and no golf course.
Rugby - no balls.
Hockey - only have ice hockey no actual hockey items.

I'm sure someone will be along soon to remind me of all the other sports I didn't feature!

Trampolining - there are no Playmo trampolines!

Artistic swimming, aka synchro!

No, we had some artistic swimming!

Maybe in 4 years' time I will have had some idea of how to make a velodrome! And a golf course...

...and a marathon course...

Loved the equestrian! I’m going to miss the olympics so much and it’s doubly sad that the Playmolympics have come to an end as well 😢 I look forward to the velodrome making an appearance in 2028!
