... and so each day I'll be bringing you all the action. Today is the opening ceremony. There is plenty of entertainment. Here is the King's Drum and Bugle Band, led by Drum Major Jermaine Jacobs.

Next is Hannelore on Grenzenlos.

They clear the water jump! A clear round for them too.

The next rider is Françoise on Doyen.

Oh dear, that's four faults for them!

Next is Albrecht on Silver Screen.

It's a clear round for them!

Holly is next, on Popcorn. They have knocked over one of the easiest fences!

So excited to see my DC name used!

That has unsettled Popcorn and at the next fence he refuses!

Next up is Pernilla on Slipstream.

Well they made that look easy! A clear round there.

It's Jyoti on Thundercrest next.

But the water jump proves too much for them. Four faults.

Last to compete in this round is Maaike on Gallimaufry.

It's a clear round for them!

The course has been rearranged and the five riders with clear rounds go into the jump-off. First is Autumn on The Mad Major.

They clear the first couple of fences easily...

...but misjudge the water jump.

Next to compete is Hannelore on Grenzenlos. They are over the water jump...

...and the blue jump...

...and the green jump, the highest one in the course. It's a clear round, and in a pretty good time too. Hannelore will be happy with that.

Albrecht and Silver Screen are next.

They are confident approaching the water jump...

...but knock over the final fence!
