... and so each day I'll be bringing you all the action. Today is the opening ceremony. There is plenty of entertainment. Here is the King's Drum and Bugle Band, led by Drum Major Jermaine Jacobs.

Anja has a lot of control there.

The next competitor is Marius on Charivari.

They are a good team.

Not a bad performance!

"Well done Charivari!" says Marius.

Now it's the turn of Lieselotte on Edelweiss.

A very controlled performance.

Lieselotte is happy with that!

Next we are going to see Adelaide on Belle of the Ball.

This is their first Olympics!

"Well done Belle!" says Adelaide.

And now it's Gerrit on Royal Tournament.

A very confident performance from them.

Gerrit is very happy!

Now for the medal ceremony for the dressage. It's gold for Anja on Mister Sandman, silver for Gerrit on Royal Tournament and bronze for Lieselotte on Edelweiss. Lord Newswell is presenting the medals.

Now it's time for the showjumping. First to ride is Konstanze on Helter Skelter.

I was thinking Gerrit would win gold!

They've knocked that one down. Four faults there...

Oh dear, they've demolished part of the water jump too. Konstanze is a bit disappointed. 8 faults.

The next competitor is Autumn on The Mad Major.

An excellent clear round for them!
