It's time for the Olympic Games for the Playmobil people in our house...

... and so each day I'll be bringing you all the action. Today is the opening ceremony. There is plenty of entertainment. Here is the King's Drum and Bugle Band, led by Drum Major Jermaine Jacobs.

@BirthdayRainbow quite a lot of the Playmobil is stuff that my ds had when he was a child (he's 23 now), but I do add to it from time to time. Although quite a bit I get second hand.

I'm definitely going to spend more time watching this than watching the Paris Olympics - so excited for the sporting action!

I'm gripped, can't wait to see the athletes in action. Is the surfing venue in Playmoland a little more local than the one in Paris?

Today there are track and field events. It's the men's 4800mm race, and Torben, Jesse, Ingvar and Ray are lined up to start the race.
