It's time for the Olympic Games for the Playmobil people in our house...

... and so each day I'll be bringing you all the action. Today is the opening ceremony. There is plenty of entertainment. Here is the King's Drum and Bugle Band, led by Drum Major Jermaine Jacobs.

Arranging all those spectators and athletes must have taken ages @SoMuchToBits . Do they ever fall over domino- stylee?

@FuzzyPuffling yes, just arranging the spectators each day was quite time consuming, let alone setting up the athletes/performers And yes, they do quite often fall over domino style, which is quite frustrating!

@FadedRed they are members of the Playmoland royal family. There are no Playmobil guillotines, so I think their heads are quite safe!

I love the parade of athletes, all so positive and hopeful of medals! It will be so exciting to watch their triumphs and tears in the next couple of weeks. I have my fingers crossed that the organisers have kept a few surprise performers back for the closing ceremony entertainment, though the quality of the opening ceremony offering will be hard to top.

You may well be right @viques - there will be a different line-up of entertainers for the closing ceremony!

Jasper are my new faves. Paris will be disappointing after this
