Several labour mps have voted in favour of snps request to remove the 2 child benefit cap and now they’ve* *had the whip suspended for six month.

not the best beginning for this new government

I think Starmer is just stamping his authority on the party. It made no difference to anything, they were never going to get the amendment through but it’s a shot across the boughs about maintaining party discipline.
