I wish I could have bottled that feeling of 1996 when the whole country went football mad, every other car and house on the road had flags and we were all sure it was coming home.

So do we think it's coming home?

Some predictions:

Someone will comment that it's past that 16 year old Spanish player's bedtime

England will have a goal disallowed due to offside

Now that we're good at penalties, it will not go to penalties

Jordan Pickford will be cross that he's expected to do his job

I do believe that part of being in the 'royal box' is that he has to wear a suit. So that is probably why he's in a suit and not dressed like every other kid.

Same reason he wears a suit when he goes to Wimbledon.

Obviously it's going to get mentioned (which is is understandable) but today it was relentless and it was the assumption that all listeners are supporting England.

Are you suggesting that there is absolutely no television channel or any radio channel in the British Isles that wasn't discussing or mentioning football?!!! I, as an English person, loved the OTT 'send off' to Scottish Andy Murray on Wimbledon last week - in the entirety of his career, not once have I wanted him to lose because of his nationality. If I hadn't enjoyed it, I'd have turned it off 🤷🏻‍♀️

I don't 'want England to lose' but I want my team to win, despite them putting out another of my teams.
