Looks like some sort of injury to Trump, likely superficial.

It’s going to fire up all the Trump supporters, so yes.

I know. I remember the scenes from last time. That was just because he lost. So what will they be like now?

Shooter dead, accomplice in custody rumour.

They're blaming Biden.

You can retract your statement all you want, you still said it and you should have the balls to stand by your statement rather than weasel away when you are rightfully called out on it.

There’s no mocking of dementia sufferers here at all. Biden’s supposed dementia has not been confirmed and he has not been pulled out of the presidential race on medical grounds due to it. He can’t string a sentence together, that is the truth, regardless of what the reason to why that is. I’m not going to skip around the truth incase it hurts someone’s feelings.

If someone is running to be the president of a country after already being in office for four years (and clearly struggling for the four years) then they don’t gain respect from me for continuing to stand again- it’s breathtakingly selfish.

Biden and his team have a lot to answer for in terms of this campaign, but that’s irrelevant to this subject. Someone has died, potentially another has died and people are injured. At least I’m not clapping like a seal over that, unlike yourself.

Reagan was severely impaired through much of his second term. Trump speaks like a 10 year old. And not a particularly bright one either.

@Inlaw

I was wrong in my earlier post, with one audience member killed then it looks highly likely to have been a proper gun (not BB) that was used.

In which case Trump was incredibly lucky that the bullet just nicked the top of his ear.

2cm the other way and he would have received a fatal head shot.

wowzw · 14/07/2024 00:42

to be fair, a Trump administration is probably an improvement on a Biden administration

Catmoobs · 14/07/2024 00:34

I’m no fan of Trump, I think he’s a horrid man, but no I don’t believe he planned this after seeing how things have unfolded. So yes I believe what I’m saying 🙄

Without a body bag, you weren't buying it. And you appear to consider yourself reasonable.

Genuinely, some people need their internet access removed.

It’s America!

A friend went to NWFP {Pakistan/Afghan border area in late 1990's...AK47's were available absolutely everywhere for anyone to buy who has the cash.

Friend had a go on an AK firing into the air - and everyone dropped to the floor within milliseconds.

A conditioned response..from living since 1979's {?} Russian Invasion with these horrible killing machines.

Which media?

Abc news saying shooter and one bystander dead, possibly a second.

It's all a bit of a Hobson's choice at the moment.

Thisisntme1 · 14/07/2024 00:36

I agree. I hate Trump with a passion, he is an awful man but I don't want to see him hurt or killed. My first thought was I'm glad he's ok.
The conspiracy theories about this being planned are wild and disgusting

Quite. Finding this thread deeply disturbing. You can despise Trump and not be giggling like a drunken fucking schoolkid when people try to murder him on live tv - especially if you have intellect to understand that this here incident has firmly secured him the presidency. Lots of very embarrassing comments, having to tell myself that they're bots as the alternative is terrifying.

roundsquares · 14/07/2024 00:43

Catmoobs · 14/07/2024 00:36

My mother suffered horribly due to dementia so I’m sorry if I won’t let comments like this slide. Anyone who has had a loved one die to this illness would understand.

As tough as that was (and I do know considering my grandparent died due to Dementia), it just isn’t relevant to Trump being shot, folk dying and you being incredibly happy about it until you realised that it wasn’t just a big joke.

Please stop commenting about this now.

Suddenly people in the UK are experts on guns and shootings lol

PoopingAllTheWay · 14/07/2024 00:44

Cuppapuppa · 14/07/2024 00:39

Really? Do you know how many shootings are in America every day???

Americans are not scared by gun shots

The vast majority of Americans would be scared by gun shots aimed at them hence the screaming etc in the video or the numerous videos you see of people in America fleeing from a shooter.

The majority of the people did not move
Its an every day thing for them!
There is enough footage to see

Im not going to argue with you, i have many American friends and the mum takes the kids to the shop with a gun in their bag

Look at the crown and how little they move, that will give you the info you need

JimmyGrimble · 14/07/2024 00:44

Livelovebehappy · 14/07/2024 00:41

But clearly you support a corrupt Biden administration then? That's the only way to describe what's currently going on pushing through someone who does not have the strength or the focus to face the huge challenges in the World atm.

He’s clearly quite ill but how corrupt? Trump has been found guilty of 34 counts. What’s Biden guilty of apart from being old?

Dont you think it was a shotgun?

AliceOlive · 14/07/2024 00:44

Livelovebehappy · 14/07/2024 00:36

Who says he is 'clearly suffering from dementia'? Unless the Democrats are lying (which is a possibility) theyve said he's been tested and had no signs of dementia. There's no question at all though that he's incompetent, which is probably due to old age, and the fact that his team are medicating him to keep him awake and focused.

He called Harris “vice president Trump” and Zelensky “President Putin” this week. Maybe it’s not dementia, but I think it’s on par.

Agreed. There is some footage after Trump dropped down off to the other side of the stage with a tractor of some sort and a large jet of water. Looks like one of the bullets that missed pierced a pipe.

It really is....😱

LiterallyOnFire · 14/07/2024 00:45

It’s not even broken on sky news? Are you on the British site

I've been watching it on UK Sky for at least 20 minutes.

PoopingAllTheWay · 14/07/2024 00:37

It was a .22 small gun that is normally used for shooting rabbits

I agree it didn't sound like a high velocity round but nonetheless an audience member was killed.

Fullfatandfortyplus · 14/07/2024 00:39

That’s the election won for him

Think it's been a win for him for a long-time now. Biden has been out of the race for months.

You must surely admit though that Biden is clearly not well enough to be president. It seems to be a big failing in the US system, that his fellow democrats can't just tell him, it's time to step down.
