Looks like some sort of injury to Trump, likely superficial.

Neither do I, but I'm surprised it has taken this long given the increasing polarisation in the US and all of the guns.

You can hear him tell the Secret Service, “wait, wait, wait” which seems calmly opportunistic even for Trump.

And apparently he was shouting “fight” as he got hustled off stage.

A possible attempt on his life and PP's first thought is "this might make him more popular" and he "possibly set this up". This is what the moral high ground looks like, is it? 🙄

I felt sorry for the secret service people having to physically put themselves between Trump and potential shooters while he is more concerned about his shoes and fist-pumping at the crowd.

Whichever idiot has done this has done nothing but help Trump. I worry most about Ukraine and Russia and Russian ascendancy in the world.

this man only thinks in terms of winners and losers. And he puts his public image above anything else.

i think it was really on brand for Trump to get shot, feel the adrenaline rush and use it as photo op.

This is the perfect scenario for Trump from a political standpoint, so it won't be surprising if there are conspiracy theories around it.

whatever the truth, at this point I think Trump’s won the election.

He was telling his security team to wait, that he wanted his shoes before they took him off the stage. He repeated it quite a few times.

Completely agree, and just said this to my husband.

He must have played out the scenario in his head many times as well. Not exactly unexpected if someone did actually take a shot at him.
