Looks like some sort of injury to Trump, likely superficial.

Trump tried to steal the previous election and called a mob on Capitol Hill. He is not a good candidate for America or for democracy at all. I’d take a forgetful old fogey over that any day.

But people do react in odd ways to extreme circumstances, look at Jackie Kennedy-she didn't duck into the foot well of the car when JFK was shot-she climbed onto the back of the speeding vehicle to retrieve the piece of his skull that had just been blown off! I think it is telling that when Jo Cox was murdered by a right wing extremist then this was rightly condemned across the political spectrum and by all civilised people.

However when a right wing politician such as Donald Trump is shot at then there have been several posters on this thread suggesting it was a set up and I suspect that there are many on the left who would be secretly relieved if he was assassinated.

It is becoming steadily evident that the left wing presents a greater danger to social order, democracy and personal liberty than the right wing ever will.
