Looks like some sort of injury to Trump, likely superficial.

It was the glass from the teleprompter.

It’s my understanding that two people were killed, though.
I can’t stand Donald Trump, but there is no place for this kind of violence in American politics.
People are wondering if this wasn’t possibly staged, because of some odd behavior by the Secret Service and Trump himself, although I think that’s very doubtful.
Lots of finger-pointing from Trump fans and lots of “was it staged” from the other side.
Me, I just wish it had never happened.

Please explain how one rally attendee is dead and two are critically injured if this was a "set-up". There is also a picture of Trump's jacket with what looks to be a bullet hole.

Care to explain how all this happened in a set-up, or are you just talking out your 💩hole?

I may not like the man, but this was horrible, and some people had better be held accountable for inciting this crap. The fact people tried to tell the LE about a shooter on the roof and were ignored is also something that needs to be studied.

I know that there some unconfirmed reports about glass from the teleprompter but I can't make sense of that. The two screens are clearly intact after the shooting, and the projecter would be much lower . Doesn't seem to add up

I don't believe Trump would set this up himself. Would Russia? I'd say that's more likely than Trump himself but I still think it's more likely to be some mentally ill lone wolf.

I imagine this was a real attempt by some poor sick person. It will sadly increase his support from the far right and it will utterly knock Democrats off any chance of winning.

There was a spurt of blood from his ear, so possibly an air gun or similar. I agree, by his reaction it looked staged, and the crowd didn’t seem that concerned at the prospect of a gunman on the loose. I saw a BBC interview with a bystander who said he saw an armed man crawling on a barn roof but the security detail didn’t listen to him. News services are reporting that the FBI is investigating the gunman’s’ history. Anyone else think there’s something not quite right here ?

I know. The stupid people in Britain who probably have never owned a passport come up with stuff like this.

It just shows that there are daft people in every country, and the UK is no exception.
It also shows that conspiracy theories/theorists run rife in every political party, in every country.

Both parties have people who act like their sole occupation is to drive fear, hate and division between citizens.
Thinking it's not both parties involved is short-sighted and using tunnel-vision.

Agree... he's a populist dog whistler not a serious politician. As far as the assassination attempt goes, the only surprising thing is that it hasn't happened before and people have been predicting this for years.
