Looks like some sort of injury to Trump, likely superficial.

A more reasonable response is that they didn’t move because of the freeze reaction when the sympathetic nervous system kicks in.

To say gunfire is a “normal” occurrence for them is wrong

Wrong how? it is a every day occurrence
I know many Americans

Listen to the people on the news who were there!!

You dont think its true - Fine

Im not going to argue with you

They are taught to drop down, aren’t they? Even in school drills early on.

Have you ever been in a situation with shots been fired around you? You don't necessarily react in the way you'd expect to.

Pls stop it is beyond embarrassing now. He is not fit to carry on. Really dangerous amd refusing to quit the race.

Pls stop what? I would rather a muddleheaded president of the USA than a narcissistic petulant felon who incites his followers to violence.

1dayatatime · 14/07/2024 00:55

@BruceWillissDribble

Not a shot gun with that sound. My DD regularly shoots clays and it wasn't a shotgun sound.

Leader of Students for Trump saying Joe Biden and The left are responsible for this, and the demonising of Trump, and all because they (MAGA supporters) want to protect their country and pay $4 a gallon for petrol

Well there is not denying of the hate of the Dems and the left mainly towards him. The last election was about that and this one the same. It is coming to bite their arses because they were crap and now Trump is going to win.

It’s not an “everday occurrence” to see someone being shot, is it? Or to be in an incident with a live shooter. You ate being silly.

JimmyGrimble · 14/07/2024 00:44

He’s clearly quite ill but how corrupt? Trump has been found guilty of 34 counts. What’s Biden guilty of apart from being old?

Biden is not competent. There are people in his administration who are guilty of a lot of covering up of just how bad he is. Clearly people behind the scenes who know he is not competent but are still lying that he ii..Thats corrupt - tryig to make people believe something which is not true. .

Well your prerogative. However, the stutter excuse is being over done now.

Trump's security detail seemed a bit slow? And allowed him to stay standing?

What do you mean allowed him to stay standing. Trump dropped to the floor the instant he realised he was shot. The SS covered him and stayed on top of him until they knew the shooter was identified and shot. You can actually hear the SS shouting instructions as they wait for clearance to stand.

I did not say people see someone get shot everyday

I said gun crime is a every day occurrence

It was a slip of the tongue, a Spoonerism, quite common with people who have struggled with stuttering previously, as Biden has.

Then he referred to Kamala Harris as 'Vice President Trump'. Was that a slip of the tongue / Spoonerism too?

I think they did react in that way, as they ducked down. I’m not sure what your point is?

Inlaw · 14/07/2024 00:57

BruceWillissDribble · 14/07/2024 00:53

Are we talkin a 22 pellet or 22 bullet? Ive used a 22 pellet over her and that wouldnt kill someone but looking at a 22 bullet is a different matter.

I have no idea but I’m assuming they are talking about a .22 rifle. Which is typically what most people call the long barrel rifles you have at shooting ranges.

As I said no expert and reaching on distant knowledge from decades ago in cadets, but I believe .22 bullets are a pretty standard size, and if we are talking about those then they go in anything from a pistol, to a rifle to a semi automatic assault rifle. There’s loads of different types. No one would want any of those shot at them

Cuppapuppa · 14/07/2024 00:58

Exactly. They ducked.

Er, yes. Same thing.

Tell me, when Trump incited the January 6th insurrection, was that a slip of the tongue?

What if there had been two shooters? He was certainly up and visible enough, very soon afterwards.

PoopingAllTheWay · 14/07/2024 00:59

Regardless of the ins and outs.

Atleast two people are dead

BruceWillissDribble · 14/07/2024 01:00

I do admire the American response though. Shoot to kill immediately blowing the shooters head off if accounts are to be believed. In the UK we'd probably send a negotiator up with a cup of tea and ask about his MH.

You had to go back to January to get Trump’s last/notable “spoonerism” yet we only had to go back a day or two to get Biden’s? And then a day or two before that again?

Surely at this point you realise how ridiculous you sound?

WalkingaroundJardine · 14/07/2024 01:02

Livelovebehappy · 14/07/2024 00:41

But clearly you support a corrupt Biden administration then? That's the only way to describe what's currently going on pushing through someone who does not have the strength or the focus to face the huge challenges in the World atm.

If it’s true that Biden is corrupt then why would you have a problem with it? Trump is actually a convicted criminal on the basis of corruption. That does not seem to be an issue for you.

This is the thing with Trump supporters. They apply different bars - a very low one for Trump and his ilk and a normal one for everyone else.

That’s why I think the movement is a personality cult in its essence.

the terror attack on London Bridge a few years ago resulted in a quick response where the perpetrator was shot at point blank range and killed

@PoopingAllTheWay You said the below which is what people are disagreeing with. gun crime being a regular occurrence doesn’t mean people aren’t scared of gun shots particularly when fired at them 🙄

Gun shots are not unusual and they are use to it

Americans are not scared by gun shots
