• Giving more powers to a failed OBR
The only reason she says it's "failed" is because she couldn't force it to give the figures and analysis that she wanted it to
• Reintroducing Stalinist housing targets rather than a zoning system
...or "Reduce the opportunities for landlords to exploit the little people and for NIMBY's to protect their privileged enclaves"
• More government involvement in rail and energy, driving up costs
...or, reducing private sector profiteering and their ability to print money. Developing an integrated transport policy that will benefit the country as a whole. Stopping (or at least sharing in) windfall profits from energy price increases. Remember too that the East Coast Main Line was twice taken back into public ownership, returned to profitability/acceptable operation and then returned to private ownership
• A conversion therapy ban that will be misused by gender ideologues
So is she for or against it?
So should something that is potentially dangeous for young people not be stopped because people with an agenda (who aren't even the ones undergoing it) might be unhappy?
• a counterproductive and unconservative smoking ban
Remind me again which party in government first proposed a phased ban on selling cigarettes to young people to stop them ever smoking?
The result of these policies will be further economic stagnation and cultural decline
Well, I suppose she is admitting that under the Conservatives, the UK was experiencing economic stagnation and cultural decline.
Truss is living in cloud cuckoo land
