Yes, lame but the last thread was nearly full.

Now I have cat envy. DH flatly refuses to have a cat because he thinks the road we live on is too busy.

Mine are indoor cats. This is because one of them has wobbly cat syndrome and my ginger boy is from Egypt and doesn't understand traffic. They have a catio to go out into. Could be an option?

Mine is the same. Rescue cat with zero awareness. It’s harder work than an outdoor, but it’s doable.

BestIsWest · 14/07/2024 19:34

Hmm, will give it some thought. DS has an indoor cat, will pick his brains. Of course there is twatty dog to consider too.

Clacton's newly elected MP is off to support Trump

I thought both of them didn't like migrants, so how do they justify that?

L1ttledrummergirl · 14/07/2024 20:05

I'm also not allowed another cat, even an indoor one with a catio. Losing our last one broke our hearts.

It's lovely seeing all your beautiful companions.

I vehemently dislike Trump, but hasn’t he suffered enough?

Edited

Other than not being in jail where he belongs, absolutely.

Fair point actually.
As you were.

I am with your DH on this one. As a cat lover.

It's ok, he's not that kind of migrant.

newnamethanks · 14/07/2024 22:06

Extra cats, lovely. Thank you all.

As far as I can tell he is an economic migrant are they now permitted?

Only the right type of economic migrants.

What is Fartage going to do in America? Do you think Trump will even notice him?

"I will fly out to America this week to support my friend Donald Trump at the RNC.
We all have a duty to support and defend democracy."

Notonthestairs · 15/07/2024 07:41

I suspect Farage was always going to go to the RNC. Now he can claim he's needed.

Amazing how many Putin apologists turn up whenever there is a Trump thread. Getting the excuses in early for next year.

Zonder · 15/07/2024 07:43

The thought of Trump needing someone like Farage makes me laugh. Little man who grabs any photo opportunities.

Indeed.

Given Trump is protected by the secret services of two nations, you have to wonder about the story we are being sold.

BestIsWest · 15/07/2024 09:30

Just saying.

I’ve just finished the biography of Starmer by Tom Baldwin. It’s very flattering but I’m more convinced than ever that he’s a decent man with a plan.

Can't help but recall what a certain Tyson, M. said about that ....

Notonthestairs · 15/07/2024 21:42

I see Truss has made it to the RNC - I guess she wanted to offer Trump her support.

Interesting to listen to Emily Maitlis on the Newsagents tonight having been refused passes to report on The Heritage Foundation talks at the RNC.

Wrong thread for this but I'm going to post it anyway - Vance as VP is a disaster for Ukraine and therefore security in Europe.

Not to mention Vance's attitude to abortion, IVF, rape and domestic violence - although I guess he has a lot in common with Trump.
