If your car was broken into RIGHT NOW what could they steal?

For me, a half finished box of Mr Kipling Bakewell tarts

An old coat from Sainsbury’s

A bottle of factor 50 sun cream

Pass it on!

On a serious note, a reminder not to leave any valuables in the car. So many break ins in my area!

Shock

I'm guessing it is people like you that make it worthwhile for the people that break into and rifle through cars night after night.

You’re welcome!! 😂

BeachRide · 11/07/2024 14:30

Half a beach worth of sand and dog hairs ...

DoYouSmokePaul · 11/07/2024 14:31

A million bags for life in the boot.

Three CDs: Jason Donovan Greatest Hits, Ricky Martin album with La Vida Loca on and Franz Ferdinand.

£1 for shopping trolley

daisydalrymple · 11/07/2024 14:32

@DaftyLass thanks 🙏

KeepSmiling89 · 11/07/2024 14:35

A Hey Duggee Book set
DD's busy book
Pashmina (birthday gift from my ex - don't want it so have just left it in the glove box!)
Bucket and spade set
Ice sheet (and empty can of de-icer)
Tub of Airwaves chewing gum
Sunglasses
USB charger for phone (just the cable)
Some carrier bags
Some of DD's toys that have fallen onto or off the back seats
DD's car seat
An empty bottle or 2 of fruit shoot

Allthegoodnamesarechosen · 11/07/2024 14:37

£163.49 worth of shopping ( I’ve just been to Tesco and I came in for a coffee before I unloaded).

DilemmaDelilah · 11/07/2024 14:54

Empty water bottles
Wellies
Bag of bags for life
Tartan rug
Bag with secateurs, full water bottle (for when we go to put flowers on my parent's grave)
Brand new not yet used electric food cooler (looking forward to using that for picnic food next week!)

TheDarkMonarch · 11/07/2024 14:54

Whatever they'd steal, it'd be covered in mud and dog fur.

tiagra · 11/07/2024 15:04

Not much. Half a dozen poly bags, 2 phone cables, my prescription sunglasses and a road atlas (how very retro).

newpussmum · 11/07/2024 15:15

Golfing umbrella
Dozens of bags for life
Gardening gloves
Windscreen shade
Dog blanket
Spare glasses (husbands)

yikesanotherbooboo · 11/07/2024 17:42

Very dirty dog blanket
Zillions of shopping bags
A bottle of water
A woolly hat
An old towel

Magpiecomplex · 11/07/2024 17:49

Me! Scrolling through MN while parked up waiting for DC.

boredsoscrollingonMNagain · 11/07/2024 18:10

Lots of bags - that I always forget when I go into the shop

an empty Starbucks cup

a charging cable

some heels

a cardigan

a few empty bottles of vape juice

my snacks

NameChange30 · 11/07/2024 18:13

A potty, a travel booster seat (for dining chairs, not a car seat), tissues, and a neck cushion for the passenger to nap on long journeys. And shopping bags. They'd be welcome to any of it Grin

Okayornot · 11/07/2024 18:14

A box of tissues, a fancy umbrella, an empty diet coke bottle and some spilled compost.

Okayornot · 11/07/2024 18:14

I'd be annoyed about the umbrella tbf.

AmyDudley · 11/07/2024 18:31

My car was broken into a couple of years ago, and there was nothing worth stealing in it (only a road map). Which annoyed the thieves so much that they decided they would smash up my dashboard and rip up the seats. It might have been worth leaving something for them to steal !

Elcoto · 11/07/2024 18:45

A LOT of dog hair.

LindorDoubleChoc · 11/07/2024 21:15

My car was broken into once I assume because there was a full Sainsbury's carrier bag on the front seat. Felt a bit sorry for the thieves when they discovered it was a bag of my mother's home made garden compost that she insisted on giving me to boost my pots and window boxes.

CocoapuffPuff · 11/07/2024 21:18

Cheap supermarket sunglasses
Lots of parking receipts
A bottle of de-icer that I haven't bothered taking out of the boot
A bag for life

Still all worth more than the car.....

worryworrysuperscurry · 11/07/2024 21:19

A Lidl carrier bag with a portable bidet bottle, wipes, nappy bags, clean leggings and spare underwear/pads (serious bowel condition here). A half empty bottle of M&S fizzy water. A strip of paracetamol. A jam jar half full of paint water.

2Old2Tango · 11/07/2024 21:22

A fold up wheelchair, husbands blue badge (should probably remove it but then sometimes we forget to take it), some sweets, a spray bottle of window cleaner and a rag, and a seat cover for the dog to sit on.

Edit to add: an apple air tag. It's well hidden though so would be hard to find. I keep it in there in case car ever gets nicked.

Quaversss · 11/07/2024 21:23

About 15 pairs of various shoes.... from flip flops to trainers, heels to wellies. Mine and the kids. I honestly have no idea how so many pairs end up in my boot! They are not there on purpose it's just where they are 🤷🏻‍♀️

socks1107 · 11/07/2024 21:24

An empty coke bottle in the bottle. I share with my daughter so our rule is nothing to be left in it at all

HelloDaisy · 11/07/2024 21:24

2 bags of clothes for the charity shop and some empty carrier bags.
