I 100% agree with this!! I think if there is 110% concrete proof that someone has murdered someone in cold blood they should be executed they shouldn't be given the chance to go into a prison. I think the same to should be done to Peadophile's, rapists and people who abuse children by beating and mentally and emotionally abusing them should be sterilised!!!

The state can't say that killing is wrong and then punish it with more killing. It just doesn't make sense.

This is interesting a family of mine was raped and murdered abroad. The perpetrator was caught and hanged. 100 % him.
Her daughter says the hanging absolutely did not help and made the whole event far worse. She has nightmares for years about the hanging and strongly disagrees with corporal punishment. Two wrongs dont make a right. So there is no chance for them to feel remorse or understand the consequences of their terrible actions.

The reintroduction of the death penalty would be barbaric. It would diminish us on the world stage. It is morally wrong to take a person’s life in any circumstances - and hypocritical to kill someone as punishment for killing someone. Execution is not an effective deterrent anyway and miscarriages of justice are always a possibility; there is no way to reverse death if new evidence emerges is there? Weirdly, the death penalty often works out more expensive than a life sentence, so there’s no cost benefit, and multiple murderers etc would probably prefer death to a life behind bars (remember Fred West?) so it is not as if they are being let off lightly.

It would also cost millions of pounds to execute him, if due process is exercised from start to finish.

Trouble is, a short while after it’s introduced for “the absolute 110% guilty worst criminals”, people then start pushing for it to be more widely applied (ie, to less clear cut cases). End result, the state starts executing innocent people.
