Hearing the mam talk on the news. I am heartbroken for her and her family.
But 17 years in jail is nothing he ruined at least two families.

Why do they even make cars that can go that speed?. Genuine question....

Fast cars and ''Chelsea Tractors''....No need for them.

Bournetilly · 09/07/2024 21:22

@OhHelloMiss he took 2 lives, he doesn’t deserve to live.

Yes he does....we don't have the death penalty

Plenty more in prisons who have killed 2,3, or more people....you want to kill them all off too?

OhHelloMiss · 09/07/2024 21:29

@HungryLittleCrocodile I do. Because that silly little 'job role' is made up

Yes! If it’s certain they committed the crime which it is in this case.

FumingTRex · 09/07/2024 21:30

Alcohol was not the only cause of this, the piece of scum clearly didn’t give a hoot about anyone else. Drink driving is inexcusable but 99 per cent of people would not act like that no matter how drunk they were. It’s awful to think that people like this exist.

>> edited to remove the word “accident” as I don’t think it’s fair to call it in accident, it was guaranteed he would harm someone.

OhHelloMiss · 09/07/2024 21:30

Well there's zero plans to bring back the death penalty so it's a moot point..

Wherehas2023gone · 09/07/2024 21:32

So heartbreaking, the poor family.
Whilst it will be little comfort to the horrendous loss for the family the police and court system have delivered very quickly (it happened an matter of weeks ago) and the guilty plea at least prevented the added trauma of a trial.

WGACA · 09/07/2024 21:36

NeomDiffuser · 09/07/2024 20:46

He's a cunt. And I rarely rarely use that word. He said on the night 'mistakes happen'.

i agree, that word is reserved for the lowest of the low.

OhHelloMiss · 09/07/2024 21:20

True @LadyKenya but that poster is just all talk.... that's all. There's no way they would ever face in to that.

Can you explain what you mean by this?

TheFairyCaravan · 09/07/2024 21:43

DH and I both cried when we saw this on the news this evening. We’ve got a six month old grandson so it really tugged at our hearts. The lady who was killed has left behind a 3yo little girl. That whole family has been torn apart by that cunt. It won’t have been the first time he drove while he was over the limit or at those speeds, or used his phone. He doesn’t deserve to come out of prison and he certainly should never be able to hold a driving licence again.

Rockmehardplace · 09/07/2024 21:44

The very idea of that poor mother frantically searching for her baby breaks my heart every time I think about it.
He is utter scum and I hope he suffers every single day if his sentence.

Littletreefrog · 09/07/2024 21:46

Absolutely horrendous. Obviously for the family but also the lorry driver, other motorists who stopped, the emergency services, the hospital staff that had to deal with the aftermath. I hope they all got the help they needed.

Rainfallrain · 09/07/2024 21:48

The police tracked his car from traffic cameras, so they knew he hadn’t picked up a hitchhiker!

@Rosie7475 isn't it quite obvious?? There's no 'windowless room' for that poster to lock him in to leave him til he's dead..... that poster claims she would happily do that and throw the key. She wouldn't get that far...It's not gonna happen is it???

He's in custody and will be treated the same as other prisoners are

MintsPi · 09/07/2024 21:51

Frazzledteacher · 09/07/2024 21:23

Absolutely horrific. Why is it always the innocent that have their life taken away from them in the most horrible way, yet he walked away unscathed. He should have been the one crushed to death or flung from the car in a crash.
I wish I hadn't read that now, I really don't want to take my little boy in the car again 😢

It does always seem to be innocent people that die and not these reckless pieces of shit. I get so angry at dangerous drivers and it is scary how many people drive on while using phones, run red lights etc when you know they will probably be unscathed in an accident and it will be someone else hurt instead.

Face up to locking irrefutably guilty remorseless scummy cunts like this into a soundproofed room and simply walking away? Yes, I would.

I'm not talking about your system or your prison or your 'justice' as if any has been served here. I'm talking about what this inhuman waste of resources deserves.

And I'm not interested in hearing any more from sympathisers, thanks 👍🏻

HermioneWeasley · 09/07/2024 21:55

I can’t fathom what merits a lifetime driving ban if this doesn’t.

dreadful man. Doesn’t even seem to have been particularly injured. I hope he never knows peace.

Yes I would do it too, to this vile putrid article who deserves ZERO oxygen! And I am sick of the apologists too.

Lock him up in a room with no windows and just let him rot. Never go back. No-one has the right to say any poster would not do that. You don't know any of us @OhHelloMiss so stop acting like you know it all.

ButterCrackers · 09/07/2024 21:59

So awful. So terrible. He needs to be put away for life and it mean life. His property and belongings, money anything he owns should be taken to pay for prison. What scum. What a disgrace of a person.
As an additional aspect - Ban drinking and driving. If you drive you don’t drink alcohol for 24hours before. If you drive with any alcohol you lose your licence forever. Checks for small amounts from foods etc could be managed.

Well no, of course it's not actually going to happen! But it doesn't mean that the poster wouldn't do it if given the chance. It's a hypothetical situation.

OhHelloMiss · 09/07/2024 22:01

Hey @HungryLittleCrocodile I'll 'act' how I like thanks ! 👍

Claysta · 09/07/2024 22:04

I read this at work and cried. The poor mum searching for her beautiful baby boy. Absolutely heartbreaking I hope the driver is given a very warm welcome in prison and never has peace.

It's a much better word for scrotes like him.

The poster trying to make a political statement on this thread is an utter prick. Shame on you.

OP - it’s absolutely heartbreaking and I hope this guy suffers hugely in prison. I hope that every day he feels like he’s in hell.

It wasn't a political statement, it's a genuine concern!

I certainly hope that he stays inside for the whole duration. We'll see what happens.

wiggleweggle · 09/07/2024 22:12

I'm not an expert, but I don't think that he will have an easy ride in prison to be honest. Justice is often handled differently inside and anyone who harms a child can be subject to special treatment amongst prisoners.
