Time again for the feeling sorry for the germs down my toilets vs the bleach

Time for another batshit crazy thread 😁

Similar scenario. Ran out of bleach last Sunday but my shopping has now been delivered and I now have bleach.

All those lil germies that have made home down both my loo's the last week are gonna get bleached tonight but I kinda feel sorry for those lil buggers again.

This thread descended into a wonderful wacky thread of feeling sorry for the grape that drops on the floor, feeling sorry for the daisies under the lawnmower, feeling sorry for stinging nettles, etc last time. Let's have another batshit crazy thread! Or maybe we can give names to the germs down my toilets before I bleach them?

Yep! feel sorry for the plants I trim back, the weeds I pull out, the cups I don't use, the list goes on!

Motherrr · 05/07/2024 20:29

Makes me feel less weird for feeling sorry for the one piece of sweetcorn/bean that gets left in the tin/washed down the sink etc :D

Floccinaucinihilipilificationisworthless · 05/07/2024 20:31

I felt sorry for the cornflake that fell off my spoon onto the floor and didn't go down my mouth into my stomach with all his other little friends.

There's always one bean at the bottom of the can that just won't shake out isn't there. Left by itself.

I used to have a ceramic salt and pepper set shaped like cabbages. I broke the pepper shaker and I still feel horrible that the salt shaker lost their little friend. This happened at least ten years ago.

SparrowNest15 · 05/07/2024 20:36

I imagine that my spoon is a lifeboat saving the rice crispies as they crackle and pop for their lives . There are always a few I can’t catch at the very end . Then I feel sorry for those little ones left behind to drown in the milk .

DogInATent · 05/07/2024 20:40

All the little people in the TV who never get a resolution to their story when I switch off halfway through a programme.

Emily1583 · 05/07/2024 20:47

Oh yes I would totally feel sorry for the salt shaker missing it's pepper shaker friend that got smashed.

Part exchanged my little Peugeot 107 2 months ago for a newer, bigger & better car. I still feel sad that it might be feeling inadequate and 'not good enough' after it served me so well.

I thought this was just me. I felt so bad.

Did the 107 go to a good home?

@Emily1583

That's the thing, I don't know! With it being a 14 year old 'first car' I'm worried it might have gone to a boy racer who will treat 'him' badly and shout at him because he can't go very fast!

Crucible · 05/07/2024 21:05

I kissed my golf goodbye many years ago. She was to be scrapped. My last car was traded in and still.had some value - hope she went to a loving home.

Do you not know where he went?

@Emily1583

No, because I part exchanged it I just dropped it off on the morning I picked the new one up. I didn't even get time to pat him on the bumper and thank him for his service!

Bellyfullofbiscuits · 05/07/2024 21:09

Don't want to be that person, but germies are the least of where your sympathies should be in putting bleach down the toilet.

Google the reg. You can find out if it’s been taxed and is on the road. If not then it might be a ton opener now

protectoroftherealm · 05/07/2024 21:17

@Mojodojocasahous

Just checked! He's taxed and MOT'd - looks like he lives to see another day. Please don't call him a tin opener, Peugeot 107s have feelings you know 😉

Emily1583 · 05/07/2024 21:17

Yes search the DVLA car tax register to find out where the 107 is now.

Where does the 107 live now? Is it still in your town?

I’ve been doing some digging in the garden this week. Earthworm carnage. I tried to save those I could though. RIP earthworms that didn’t make it. And red ants too.

Just tells me he's legal, not where he lives! I swear if I ever see him I'll crash the new one in excitement!

I feel sorry for plants all the time. The other day, my husband cut some hazel branches to use as canes and they didn't know they had been cut and kept growing alongside the plants they were there to support, despite the fact they were dying, and it was like something out of a Kazuo Ishiguro novel.
