Time again for the feeling sorry for the germs down my toilets vs the bleach

Time for another batshit crazy thread 😁

Similar scenario. Ran out of bleach last Sunday but my shopping has now been delivered and I now have bleach.

All those lil germies that have made home down both my loo's the last week are gonna get bleached tonight but I kinda feel sorry for those lil buggers again.

This thread descended into a wonderful wacky thread of feeling sorry for the grape that drops on the floor, feeling sorry for the daisies under the lawnmower, feeling sorry for stinging nettles, etc last time. Let's have another batshit crazy thread! Or maybe we can give names to the germs down my toilets before I bleach them?

I feel sorry for the clothes I don’t take on holiday! 😂

Haylestails · 05/07/2024 21:29

I once spotted my old car out and about. It was being driven by some guy in his 50s and it had a new sticker on the back window.

I apologise to the weeds when I pull them up 😳

Just tells me he's legal, not where he lives! I swear if I ever see him I'll crash the new one in excitement!

Lol

Glad the 107 is still going good. Don't ever let him see you in your new car though!

I feel sorry for plants all the time. The other day, my husband cut some hazel branches to use as canes and they didn't know they had been cut and kept growing alongside the plants they were there to support, despite the fact they were dying, and it was like something out of a Kazuo Ishiguro novel.

Edited

Oh my. They still think they are alive.

I would normally have no time for this whimsical bollocks except my dd19 told me she uses the shitty scuffed non-shiny teaspoons in our cutlery drawer because she ‘felt sorry for them’ and I was embarrassed to admit that I did too. Now I worry that they might be considered overworked compared to their shiny privileged mates… 🤦🏻‍♀️

@Mojodojocasahous

Just checked! He's taxed and MOT'd - looks like he lives to see another day. Please don't call him a tin opener, Peugeot 107s have feelings you know 😉

Aww that’s brilliant news!

I always put spiders outside, help with any little creatures. Today I rescued a wasp from a mop bucket, poor thing must have been in a bad way as it had disinfectant in, but scooped up so was still alive and left outside to dry and fate. Turned the bucket upside down so it wouldn't happen again. Batshit but caring, can't be any other way. Xx

Haylestails · 05/07/2024 21:41

Have the toilet germs been bleached yet??

sabadoo · 05/07/2024 21:43

My husband just laughed at me as I carefully dusted and cleaned around a little spider who who has set up home in the corner of our kitchen, he said he would have just hoovered him up, the monster!

Emily1583 · 05/07/2024 21:49

Yeah sorry, my bad.

If it were a honeybee I'd feel sorry. Definitely wouldn't feel sorry if it were a hornet though.

I used to have a ceramic salt and pepper set shaped like cabbages. I broke the pepper shaker and I still feel horrible that the salt shaker lost their little friend. This happened at least ten years ago.

We have salt and pepper that hug each other. They are apart in the cupboard and can't reach - I feel bad now.

Nope. They are still alive and kicking. For now.

Hmmm watch your husband carefully in case he goes and hoovers him up.

I know the salt and pepper shakers you mean. Seen them somewhere. They need to be reunited.

I feel sorry for the pigeon I regularly see in my back garden who seems to have either a controlling parent or partner! the smaller of the two gets pecked at and followed around my garden by a big bully pigeon 😭 it tries to take the smaller ones food. I just want to rescue the poor thing!
I also feel sorry for the spiders in my kitchen, I hoover the cobwebs but I just can't bring myself to get rid of the spiders

YeOldeGreyhound · 05/07/2024 21:58

I skinned a Furby today. I want to make one of those freaking long Furby things that pop up on Etsy.
I had to keep closing it's eyes, as it was making me feel so bad.

My best friend and I (we've known each other since we were 5) were reminiscing about daft things we did or said when we were kids. She said that if she went on a trip into London for the day,she always brought any sweet wrappers home with her to throw away,as she was worried that they'd feel lonely if she threw them in a bin in a strange town. 😂😂😂
