Lion - oh my word. Such an amazing true story and so emotional.

Rizzo81 · 05/07/2024 17:58

Oh and Precious.

the kind of film you watch once and then never ever again.

ZaraSpellman · 05/07/2024 17:58

@Rizzo81 there’s a nod to Bing Bong in the new film.

Lucy shimmers.

Really? I might cry at how bad it is 😂 quasi religious nonsense and sugary enough to give you diabetes

If we’re including books, I cannot read the section of Northern Lights with the deaths of Lee Scoresby and Hester.

More Hester than Lee, to be honest.

Me too. I refused to read it to DS2 as I knew I'd dissolve for that chapter.

Breaking the Waves is an utterly heartbreaking film that always has me sobbing.

Lwrenn · 05/07/2024 18:12

One that's been mentioned is coco which I love.

Now this one hasn't been mentioned from what I can see and it's got 2 different names, but I saw it called "inside I'm dancing".

It makes me cry thinking about it

user1471538275 · 05/07/2024 18:12

@TheTripThatWasnt I'm similar - it's real stuff that sets me off - like watching Alistair Brownlee drag his brother Jonny round the last 100m and shove him over the line.

lemmein · 05/07/2024 18:31

Dontcallmescarface · 05/07/2024 17:35

I've watched quite a few mentioned on here and I can honestly say I haven't cried at any of them. In fact I've never cried over a film in my life,.

Edited

Same. My mum and (adult) daughters blub over anything whilst I'll be sat there like '😐'

WhyDoesItAlways · 05/07/2024 18:38

The lion king still gets me every time.

FusionChefGeoff · 05/07/2024 18:39

Impossible

Basically anything, it's a running joke in my family that I will absolutely bawl at the slightest thing in a movie.

But Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King is absolutely guaranteed to produce weeping. I don't even need to watch it, my husband frequently whispers "you bow to no one" to me and I just fall to bits.

Ha ha see this is DH and me with Gladiator "who will help me carry him" and I'm gone

Moana….where her dead grandma comes back to see her on the boat after Maui flounces.

I know…I’m ridiculous.

Also the episode of Bluey where they are dreaming and playing in outer space.

😁

Oh yes. Guaranteed to make me bawl. But to be fair I do cry at the drop of a hat. Most of the bluey episodes have me reaching for the hanky for some reason. A dogs purpose has me howling.

beaches & steel magnolias. Every single single time!

BouleDeSuif · 05/07/2024 18:40

Cargo with Martin Freeman. Right at the end with the baby toy and the perfume.

TheLightSideOfTheMoon · 05/07/2024 18:41

Mary & Max.

crackfoxy · 05/07/2024 18:41

The impossible.

Thumbelinatinylittlething · 05/07/2024 18:41

Railway Children (the old version). That bit when Bobbie sees her Dad getting off the train in the cloud of steam!

MrTiddlesTheCat · 05/07/2024 18:42

Right now, with my hormones, absolutely anything. I was crying over an advert for carrots earlier.
