It's general election day for the Playmobil people in our house.

Here are this year's candidates. From left to right:- Michael the beach policeman (Law and order party), Emilia (Fashion accessories party), Jack Jellyhead (Legalise robbery party) Norman the foreman (Tea drinking and lifesaving party), Deepika (Keep fit party) and Seiji (DIY party).

Will Norman the foreman and the Tea drinking and lifesaving party remain in power? We will have to find out! The population of Playmoland will soon be arriving to cast their votes.

The polling station will open at 7 am.

Alwyn and Angharad arrive at the polling station with their dog Apollo.

Right, having read the manifestos, I've decided. My vote is for Norman, because (unlike the non-Playmo world) change is not necessarily for the better.

Angharad goes in to vote while Alwyn stays outside with the dog.

Paulette goes to vote on her way home from the shops.

Oh no! Apollo has snaffled Paulette's sausages!

"You naughty dog!" says Angharad. "I only turned my back on him for a minute!" says Alwyn.

I'm voting for the DIY party, I've only just sat down and checked my laptop, because I have been doing you know DIY and gardening all day. I did take Dd to vote, her first time, I think she was somewhat underwhelmed at the process. Thanks Somuch for directing me to the thread.

Naughty Apollo! Another theft in Playmoland - I hope Jack Jellyhead didn’t influence him! Sausages do seem to be Apollo’s downfall.

I think Apollo's thefts are always of the food variety...

I wonder if Jack Jellyhead has been using his I'll gotten gains to place bets on the outcome of the election....

I think more people should wear hats, but I am not so keen on fancy handbags as they are never big enough.
And keeping fit is very important especially for ladies of a certain age.
Tea is the beverage that keeps the nation turning.

and love the Playmo world so much. Will the reindeer appear at the polling station at all ?
