It's general election day for the Playmobil people in our house.

Here are this year's candidates. From left to right:- Michael the beach policeman (Law and order party), Emilia (Fashion accessories party), Jack Jellyhead (Legalise robbery party) Norman the foreman (Tea drinking and lifesaving party), Deepika (Keep fit party) and Seiji (DIY party).

Will Norman the foreman and the Tea drinking and lifesaving party remain in power? We will have to find out! The population of Playmoland will soon be arriving to cast their votes.

The polling station will open at 7 am.

Norman attends Roundwood Palace, where King Athelstan asks him to form a government.

@SoMuchToBits honestly this is one of the best things on MN, also I voted for Norman so I am very happy. Thank you for bringing a smile to my face, I am very worried about a friend who has yet another cancer diagnosis and this has helped distract my thoughts away. I also appreciate the time and effort you put into these things.

@SoMuchToBits I just love the detail like when Betty and Beryl vote and the next photo has them holding a stubby pencil. I also used to be a polling clerk so this is right up my street. Might I suggest the polling clerks are seen sharpening those bloody pencils too

This is also the kind of shenanigans I still do for the children who are now 21 and 18. Ds1 recently said he loves and appreciates the effort I still go to to make things a bit magical especially at Christmas.

Thank you, I always love putting in little details like that! But couldn't do pencil sharpeners, as Playmobil don't seem to make any yet!

Good luck to Norman and Seiji! I hope Seiji doesn't go the way of Nick Clegg although Norman definitely doesn't seem like a David Cameron type so this may be a positive and productive partnership.
