My neighbours have just come back from a short break in Belfast and brought me back this Titanic Whiskey as a thank you present for looking after their cat.

If only there was a major event coming up that I could justify cracking open the bottle to celebrate 😉

Can I just say, your username makes me smile every time I see it.

TimeForRishiByeByes · 03/07/2024 21:22

How appropriate it's called the titanic - pity it's not blue.

user8800 · 03/07/2024 21:26

I'm out tomorrow morning, then tomorrow night, too, so I'm hoping tomorrow goes by faster than today has!

France seems to have stepped back from the brink. Let's hope the US does, too :(

I think the Daily Express have finally lost it.

Remember Paterson? This was released today -

"A former Conservative cabinet minister acted as a lobbyist without being registered to do so, an investigation has concluded.
The lobbying regulator has made a preliminary ruling that Owen Paterson, who was a paid consultant for healthcare company Randox, should have registered as a lobbyist.
It said Mr Paterson personally contacted the health secretary eight times between January and October 2020 in relation to Randox."

www.bbc.com/news/articles/cv2gngdnv3go

Randox were awarded £770 million pounds of contracts.

Old Etonian Paterson was an ally of Johnson. Johnson and friends did their upmost to undermine HoC standards commissioner Kathryn Stone. They tried to get her to resign.
Shifty bastards.

Brexit, the elephant in the room

Not sure if they can keep ignoring the public opinion of it being a big mistake

My brother is in a very safe Labour seat so is casting a protest vote for a 'Rejoin EU Party' candidate.

I am in a consituency that is usually Tory and has been so since 2010 I think; the local MP has a lot of good will but he is standing down and Labour have a great local candidate, so I think Labour should win, unless a lot of people vote Lib Dem and split the vote, but that seems unlikely. So my vote for Labour should count.

He’s done quite enough releasing his Johnson for anyone’s lifetime.

Let the (non Tory) votes pile high.

Saw this on twitter. Had to laugh. Somebody made a joke about the Dunning Kruger effect which seemed to fit the interview.

Edited

He’s unbelievable. Does he seriously not know his party’s been in power for 14 years?

Cheguevarahamster · 03/07/2024 22:01

24 hours until the exit poll. My nails are going to be bitten to bone by then.😨😨

The daily heil front page should be interesting

ZonderRishi · 03/07/2024 22:09

Sorry if this has already been mentioned - bit behind and I also just posted it on the wrong thread!

Anyone else hear Ed D on the news tonight saying things have to change after all that has gone wrong in the past 14 years. Some of that 14 years he was in government! Short memory.

NoDishiForRishi · 03/07/2024 22:09

24 hours to go. 😶

It really is the hope that kills you.
