Does anyone else get annoyed with Sara Cox?

She says things in a very strange way. I don't mean her accent. She sort of snuffles and mangles words. Or is it just me?

The stupid rhetorical questions and parroted phrases
Patronising anyone older when it is their birthday- she's looking fab etc etc

Yes! She’s great on tv but on radio she doesn’t properly enunciate her words and it’s definitely got worse over the year.

I also hate that stupid song/jingle that they play EVERY day at the beginning of her show.

She can sound a bit awkward and uncool with her dad jokes sometimes which inadvertently makes me laugh, but yes, can see it could be irritating. I think she's trying to be ironic?

Hate that bloody jingle though, reminds me of 80's Muppet show or something

I always thought that Zoe Ball was aimed at 8 year old, and Sara Cox was aimed at 12 year old.

Can't bear her.

And it's funny when you happen to make comment in passing if you hear her voice somewhere, everyone you're with seems to say "oh my god, I can't stand her either!"

Fuck knows how she's even got where she is. It's like she is the token woman appearing on things, which utterly shoots the equality they are hoping to achieve in th foot because she's fucking useless and just makes people switch off.

Had they put a talented woman in her place, it would have been a very different outcome to how female DJs are viewed.

Vernon Kaye is aimed at 80 year olds.

I prefer Zoe to Sara but hate Richie so dont listen unless trapped on M1

Radio 2 is dire now - can't stand Vernon and Scott (wet lettuce) mills. Jeremy and Zoe are just about ok - only decent one now is Gary Davies

Seems like I’m in the minority but I love Sara! I think she’s great with callers, I really like her all request Fridays and the half Wower. I also like Scott, though that’s partly nostalgia for my R1-listening youth. Not a fan of the recent R2 shake up though. I miss Ken, and I can’t stand Paddy/Vernon/Rob. Romesh is quite good though. Liza Tarbuck is my absolute favourite now, her show is like sitting down for a cuppa with your oldest and weirdest friend.

I like Sara and Zoe. Vernon not too bad. Can't abide Liza or Jaybe Macdonald when she's on. Not keen on Paddy either.

I don't mind her but she is irritating when she's speaking to callers. Everything seems to be gorgeous and bewdiful.

I like her, I think she comes across as warm and humourous.

At least she has an established background in radio, sick of them wheeling in tv people, Romesha and Rob Beckett's manager must know where the bodies are, why else would they get top gigs on Radio 2?

Assuming they've brought Paddy McGuiness in to fulfill his BBC contract as they've scrapped top gear?

I really like Sara, she's so funny and warm. And not shrill, some mornings I have to turn off the squawking of Zoe, Richie and Tina.

I did like Scott but then Spoony covered and I realised bow formulaic his show is, constantly trailing songs and the same questions over and over on the birthday game. Spoony sounded like he was cringing himself inside out every time "is it your birthday today?" - surely researchers do their jobs?!

Can't stand paddy and loved Michael on a Sunday. Don't much like the new format of love songs with phoning people etc but maybe I'll get used to it.

Jo Whiley is wonderful and the opposite of Sara Cox. Her evening show is like a relaxing walk in a forest 😌
