Does anyone else get annoyed with Sara Cox?

She says things in a very strange way. I don't mean her accent. She sort of snuffles and mangles words. Or is it just me?

Totally agree - I love Sara too. I do also like Vernon and enjoy Scott. Not a fan of Zoe & can't stand Richie so don't listen to her show at all (but I love Chris Moyles on Radio X, so I'm full on old school Radio 1 now!).

Seems strange to start a thread about someone’s voice when they’re presenting a radio show listened to by millions of people every day…You do know you can listen to something else instead because yes it is just you?

I really like Sara, she's got a northern accent maybe that's why pp can't understand her 🙈😂

I much prefer her to Zoe who I find annoyingly cheerful 😬

Quite an unpleasant post. If you don't like the programme find something else to listen to. I quite enjoy her show. It's just a bit of light hearted nonsense to listen to on the way home, not really worthy of a thread

Vernon Ive grown to like, I did follow Ken Bruce over but I couldnt get on with the adverts, for some reason we were getting adverts for the Liverpool area

Liza Tarbuck and Rylan I also like, along with Jeremy Vine, Johnnie Walker, Michael Ball and Tony Blackburn. I love the Elaine Paige show because musical theatre is a passion but she grates on me

I never listened to Radio 2 until recently (long regular evening drives for a while) and I was surprised how much I liked all request Fridays! I also think Liza Tarbuck is bonkers and hilarious.
Jeremy Vine’s voice ( and everything he says) makes me feel violent so I switch him off.

Why do you think I listen? And you're at liberty to report the threat if it upsets you. I haven't called the presenter names, just said I don't like the show because her delivery is irritating.

Is this a trick question, OP- why DO you listen if you have issues with the delivery to millions of people across the U.K. who are listening because they enjoy the show ?

I love Sara. Genuinely lovely and warm. She makes me laugh with what she comes out with sometimes. Love Vernon and Rylan too. Not too keen on Scott or Zoe and I'm not sure why. Can't listen to Elaine. She goes through me. Not keen on her music choices either.

Was just thanking this week how bad radio 2 has got. Very much dislike listening to Zoe Ball who tries too hard, Scott Mills who is frankly boring and Paddy McGuinness just grates. Sara Cox is just about ok and I think Vernon is the best of a bad bunch. Jeremy Vine witters on. Not a fan of Jo Whiley but can’t explain why. Quite like Rylan. Michael Ball is ok but I get irritated when at the end of the show he tells the listeners to be kind blah blah blah. Liza T is a laugh. Can’t stand Richie - he’s overly promoted. Like Trevor Nelson’s show, shame it’s on late. Stopped listening on a Saturday morning since Graham Norton went.

I don't mind Vernon, I hate the awful lead in music to the archive thing that he does though and wish he'd ditch that part of the show, it's not usually that interesting. Gary Davies is ok but he does that really annoying Deja Wooooooo thing when he fills in and that really grates as he sometimes does it several times in a sentence.

Was never a fan of SW but I usually turn the radio off when Scott comes on. I think he got married recently didn't he .............🙄🙄

I don't hear Sara Cox as the radio is usually off by that time.

I quite like Sara, can't tolerate liza or Elaine listen to my giggle page.

Not a trick question. I don't listen to it unless I'm in someone else's car or house and they have it on. I asked why do you think I listen as in why are you assuming I do when I've said it gets on my wick.

I really like her! She's got a great sense of humour, doesn't take herself too seriously and has an easy way with people calling in - unlike Jo afterwards who has zero interest in anyone or anything else apart from band members from the 90s or her 'tracks'.

Really like Zoe Ball too, but Ritchie Anderson can do one - where on earth did they get him from?? Totally devoid of any talent, but wants to be famous so much it hurts.

Vernon is really growing on me - he seems to have toned down the 'son of a Northern trucker' thing (nothing against Northern truckers, it just felt like it was an hourly feature on the his show) and is relaxing into the show.

Also like Gary Davies and Michael Ball seems to be a doing a good job of Sunday love songs.

Romesh is a poor substitute for the brilliant Claudia, and Liza, Scott, Elaine and Rob should all be shown the door.

Ok, thanks for your reply. Now I understand why you, a random, don’t listen but feel the need to start a thread to make comments about the way someone talks to millions of people every day, unlike randoms on the internet.

So anyway, I’m just away to start a thread about someone I never watch or listen to, just because they get on my wick…

I won't, if you don't mind. It's not just me who's not a fan as replies show.
