I only just found out about Golden Kiwis, they are gorgeous.
I can’t stop eating them.

My mother told me about them, I had never even heard of them, I’m at the supermarket now and wondering what else am I missing out on??😁

Laoganma Crispy Chilli Oil.

I am obsessed. With eggs in any form, any time of the day or night. In a cheese sandwich, toasted or not. And anything else I can think of.

I LOVE this stuff!! In a cucumber salad wit soy sauce, garlic, spring onions and sesame oil

do you eat kiwis with skin on or off?

Me and my dc eat the skin on a kiwi, dh thinks we’re mental! I just think it’s a very efficient way of eating them and also think of the extra fibre 😂

Good cottage cheese - Longley Farm brand. Hadn't eaten it in years because of the horrible watery stuff from supermarkets. Tried some of the full fat Longley Farm on a cracker at a food fayre and it is delicious! I used it to make salad dressings, in sandwiches and on toast with hot honey. Delicious

Really good in scrambled eggs too, lovely and creamy!

dutysuite · 09/06/2024 15:14

I came on to reply Golden Kiwis too! They are lovely, I slice them with skin on and eat with Greek yoghurt and honey.

Gall10 · 09/06/2024 15:20

Tesco mini gherkins with chili….theyre actually labeled cambouchons or something but I can’t pronounce it or spell it!
About £1.50 a jar…just fab.
supposedly in the west we don’t eat enough pickled food…I do!

Try it on a baked potato and beans. I also like to slice some cucumber with it drizzled on. I eat it on everything!!

Cornichons

Llama milk. Found it in Asda a few months back and bought it out of curiosity, it's actually quite nice!

Also Rodda's clotted cream which I had never tried (any clotted cream at all) before this year, I can't believe I spent my life without spreading it on my scones!

It's made locally to me and all of their stuff is delicious

Edamame (soybeans that are picked while green and unripe and then steamed, boiled, or roasted in their pods.)

I love them. I add them to almost anything.

unabletocan · 09/06/2024 15:51

Ok I’m not from the UK but just discovered the combination Heinz beans on buttery toast. 😅😂 I could eat it every day.

Crikeyalmighty · 09/06/2024 15:53

@Blacknailer I get mine in Poundland in fridge section - I always find it- maybe poundlands core shoppers don't like cottage cheese!! £1.25 for large pot

TwoLeftSocksWithHoles · 09/06/2024 15:53

If you mean at the back of a cupboard...

A large bag of tortilla chips dated 'Best before April 2020'.
They were destined as a crunchy topping for a chilli bake (that never got made!)

goingdownfighting · 09/06/2024 15:54

Have yoy tried sable grapes OP? They're delicious.

Also dried passion fruit is lovely.

OnlyFrench · 09/06/2024 15:57

Oysters. A neighbour plied me with champagne first so I plucked up courage. It only took 60 years but it was worth the wait.

Recently as in the last few years

Kimchi…. now eat everyday
Steamed beetroot
smoked haddock

Icequeen01 · 09/06/2024 16:04

Curly Kale. I had some in a restaurant and asked what it was. I've been hooked ever since. Sadly my new found love is not shared by the other members of my family!

PTSDBarbiegirl · 09/06/2024 16:06

Smoked thinly sliced highland duck
Pistachio cream

loveulotslikejellytots · 09/06/2024 16:29

I had whipped feta out at a restaurant a while ago. It has chopped basil and pomegranate seeds on top. It was amazing, I need to find out how to make it. It was served with warm pitta, I could have eaten bowls of it.
