I only just found out about Golden Kiwis, they are gorgeous.
I can’t stop eating them.

My mother told me about them, I had never even heard of them, I’m at the supermarket now and wondering what else am I missing out on??😁

Kale in the air fryer is really good with Nando's peri salt on. I had a habit for a while Grin

Chamoy with grapes. A woman I work with is from Mexico, and she brings this for a snack. I wasn't sure at 1st, but now I'm hooked. It's salty, spicy sour & the grapes add sweet.

FlyingFlamingo · 09/06/2024 20:10

@Cadela I have made my own before but I’ve now discovered them frozen in Farmfoods for when I can’t be bothered

NeedthatFridayfeeling · 09/06/2024 20:12

Crumpets with butter and marmite. Yum!

I am trying to improve my gut microbiome and have come across Tempeh..... has anyone got a good tried and tested recipes? I have no idea what to do with it.

Dice, Soak it in a bit of soy, toss in cornflour then shallow fry until crispy, throw in a few stri fry veg, serve with Korean BBQ sauce or some kind of delicious sauce of your choice and rice

Tajin is a dry equivalent and delicious with fruit , makes a good Bloody Mary too

JoJothegerbil · 09/06/2024 20:17

Vicky's sourdough which is made in Cornwall. I'm lucky that I live here as it's the most delicious bread ever. I bought an olive and thyme loaf yesterday and I might have eaten nearly all of it myself!

LunaNorth · 09/06/2024 20:18

Fresh pickled red onion. My word, it’s gorgeous.

surely after all that… any microbiome benefit has been well and truly decimated

Wine. I'm 45 and never liked it until I gave it another go this year and suddenly found it went down rather well.

pudseypie · 09/06/2024 20:21

I've found my cottage cheese people!
I tried cottage cheese balls, a typical baked Hungarian dessert a few weeks ago when in Budapest. Oh, they are amazing.. I am still dreaming of them.
I will also only eat Longley Farm brand here, nothing else compares.

Lovelyview · 09/06/2024 20:22

Cauliflower rice. I'm trying to cut down on carbs and was surprised to find it's really nice fried with toasted almonds and herbs.

MrsDanversGlidesAgain · 09/06/2024 20:22

Kate is beyond delicious - a little bit of olive oil and sea salt and airfried till crispy. Be careful not to burn - there is a small of window for it to be perfect

I think I'll try a small amount chopped up with the other greens. The trouble is the supermarket I go to only sells large bags and I'll never eat it all before it goes off.

mathanxiety · 09/06/2024 20:26

Mulberries.

They are now my favourite fruit.

What's the difference between a kiwi and a golden kiwi?

The price?

I do prefer them though!

Less tart I think.

Kimchi. I eat it with a lot of things now. Great in a cheese toastie.

Im about to try making Kimchi bacon for lunch.

Fantastic idea for a cheese toastie!!!

Thank you!

diddl · 09/06/2024 20:28

Falafel is a recent thing for me.

Had some in a döner with the most amazing beetroot sauce.

Macandcheeese · 09/06/2024 20:29

Hummous! Love the red pepper & caramelised onion varieties with breadsticks 🤤

ManyATrueWord · 09/06/2024 20:30

Pickled chillis. Not hot at all. Also pickled walnuts. I refused to try them as they looked awful. They are delicious with cheese!

WhiskersPete · 09/06/2024 20:34

Luckingfovely · 09/06/2024 12:58

Laoganma Crispy Chilli Oil.

I am obsessed. With eggs in any form, any time of the day or night. In a cheese sandwich, toasted or not. And anything else I can think of.

I'm addicted to Lao gan ma!

Dartwarbler · 09/06/2024 20:35

Gherkins

……and no I’m post menopausal 🙄

don’t get it really, hated them until I hit 60

Redlarge · 09/06/2024 20:35

Try with sumac mixed in and parsley

Globules · 09/06/2024 20:44

Asda Sea Salt and Chardonnay Wine Vinegar Extra Special crisps.

Tracklemeats Chilli jam

Tesco Brie with truffle (in place of Baron Bigod's truffle cheese which I can only get round here at Christmas)

mamaduckbone · 09/06/2024 20:51

Grated then dry fried halloumi - it goes all crispy and lovely. Makes a nice topping for salad.
