Is this the world's most sad beige soft play?

Visiting a friend and she suggested going to her favourite local soft play.

It's a bit out of our way so I googled it.
I mean I assume it won't be as pristine on the day, but fuck me it looks more like someplace for Instamummies than kids to play in

I like it

YellowSunblueclouds · 08/06/2024 13:05

Bright colours can be overstimulating. That’s more nature colours than beige and I actually like it

Doihavetogotoworkdotcom1 · 08/06/2024 13:05

I like it

PiggieWig · 08/06/2024 13:06

I think it looks nice! Less sensory overload than everything in garish primary colours. I bet it’s still noisy though.

CestLaVie123 · 08/06/2024 13:06

Looks nice to me OP, better than most other softplays

QueenOfWeeds · 08/06/2024 13:06

Oh it’s so much better - far less stimulating. DD is only a toddler but each time we go to a new one she spends the first 10-15 minutes just sitting and looking and taking everything in, before she starts to explore and play properly.

Soboredofdiettalk · 08/06/2024 13:07

I also like it!

Naran · 08/06/2024 13:07

It looks fine. More muted colours. Some softplays are a sensory assault.

PhilosophicalCheeseSandwich · 08/06/2024 13:07

I like it, it looks fun and the colours aren't a signal to start screaming.

frenchnoodle · 08/06/2024 13:08

I also think it's fine.

yarnwitch · 08/06/2024 13:08

I like it too, it looks soothing. I don't see why they need to be garish

avocadotofu · 08/06/2024 13:09

I like it too

ActivePeony · 08/06/2024 13:09

Looks lovely to me.

mnahmnah · 08/06/2024 13:10

Looks lovely. Wonder if the kids play more calmly? Less screaming?!

Wendysfriend · 08/06/2024 13:10

Oh that looks nice. All our soft plays are navy, red and yellow. Always looks and feels dirty. I'm not sure how colours affect toddler and bigger kids, but it does look great

MrsWhites · 08/06/2024 13:10

My son would have much preferred this when he was young enough for soft play, rather than the bright garish colours with hardly any room to move that you typically get at soft play.

SallyWD · 08/06/2024 13:10

It looks nice! Soothing compared to the usual garish colours.

PossumintheHouse · 08/06/2024 13:11

Looks like a Montessori inspired soft play. I like it. Calming rather than garish.

Littlebelina · 08/06/2024 13:13

It's fine.

Hermittrismegistus · 08/06/2024 13:13

I've been there and I like it. They do a quiet session with fewer children which is great .

Letsgotitans · 08/06/2024 13:13

Yeah I also think it looks lovely.

strawberrybarn · 08/06/2024 13:15

Oh that's my local soft play! It's lovely and very popular & in a wonderful location. The kids love it. We've had many happy birthday parties and play sessions there. The staff are amazing and my friend makes the spectacular cakes! Please enjoy.

msbevvy · 08/06/2024 13:16

It is a lot more colourful than this pretentious one. Not sure if it still exists, hopefully not.

Don't see what's wrong with it and I don't think the kids will care.

Allthehorsesintheworld · 08/06/2024 13:18

It looks very clean 😁 I’ve only ever visited one , with dgc. Once was enough for me.
