Is this the world's most sad beige soft play?

Visiting a friend and she suggested going to her favourite local soft play.

It's a bit out of our way so I googled it.
I mean I assume it won't be as pristine on the day, but fuck me it looks more like someplace for Instamummies than kids to play in

I like it. It looks like an outdoor park.

Confundo · 08/06/2024 14:30

I was just about to ask if it was in East Lothian! We’ve been, and the kids had a great time. Because it’s smaller it’s not as loud and overwhelming as some of the other soft plays. The space outside is lovely too.

I prefer natural colours than a clown on speed that our local one is

ClawdeenWolf · 08/06/2024 14:36

Another vote for liking this one.

Thefaceofboe · 08/06/2024 16:12

Looks lovely and has some colour just not too over stimulating. Looks clean too

Thefaceofboe · 08/06/2024 16:13

If local to anyone, Cadbury garden centre soft play is similar to this, it’s fabulous

whyhavetheygotsomany · 08/06/2024 16:15

If the kids like it then it doesn't matter. It looks much cleaner than most

DiscoBeat · 08/06/2024 16:15

Eh? There's bright green, blue, yellow. It's not beige. I like it, not too overwhelming.

MiniBattenburg · 08/06/2024 16:16

I think it looks lovely.

Mishmashs · 08/06/2024 16:17

Ha, I know this place. I can assure you it’s just as noisy as any soft play.

Bright colours can be overstimulating. That’s more nature colours than beige and I actually like it

Agree with all of this.

blackrabbitwhiterabbit · 08/06/2024 16:30

I prefer it too

inamarina · 08/06/2024 16:30

Agree with others, it looks really nice. Soft plays are overstimulating as they are, no need for bright colours on every surface.

stayathomer · 08/06/2024 16:31

I don’t know how I feel about it either, I feel like you’d need to walk slowly and keep your voice down in there😅

diddl · 08/06/2024 16:41

Looks fine to me also!

If the kids will play & enjoy does the colour matter?

MinervaMcGonagallsCat · 08/06/2024 16:49

It will be ASD friendly

Laiste · 08/06/2024 17:18

<thumbs up> from me too.

The idea is that kids climb, play and have fun together.

Like they do in the outdoors maybe - which also isn't garish primary colours last time i looked ....

HearTheirEverywhere · 08/06/2024 17:20

I also prefer it like that.

mondaytosunday · 08/06/2024 17:41

Looks good to me. I don't think the kids care that much, and there is some colour.

transformandriseup · 08/06/2024 18:42

I quite like those colours as they are very natural although I don't mind the brightly coloured soft play centres. I know someone who has their own party business with just grey and white soft play equipment. To me that is boring but each to their own.

cannonballz · 08/06/2024 18:46

I think it looks great

Hedgehog23 · 08/06/2024 18:46

Is that Whitehall Kirk in East Lothian? It’s been okay for my kids (eldest loves the nerf gun fights they do on Fridays). Nice to have something different and the coffee is better than most.

RosieChardonnay · 08/06/2024 18:49

I like it, looks more natural like playing outdoors. Looks like fun play opportunities here for kids. Wish more were like this.

Ifyoucouldreadmymindlove · 08/06/2024 18:53

It looks beautifully designed, well laid out and made with a good portion of natural materials. Really don’t see a problem. Much nicer than mikes of coloured vinyl.
