Is this the world's most sad beige soft play?

Visiting a friend and she suggested going to her favourite local soft play.

It's a bit out of our way so I googled it.
I mean I assume it won't be as pristine on the day, but fuck me it looks more like someplace for Instamummies than kids to play in

I like the green, but the grey is giving toddler prison.

ThursdayTomorrow · 08/06/2024 13:18

Is this some kind of reverse advertising OP?

Baklavamama · 08/06/2024 13:19

looks nice

Cuppateatea · 08/06/2024 13:19

I love it! Looks very fresh and modern. Wonder if the OP owns it and is drumming up business? 😅

RaggyDooDaa · 08/06/2024 13:22

Whitekirk Hill. Montessori is very popular round here.

Sera1989 · 08/06/2024 13:24

I was expecting something completely bland but I quite like this! All the bold primary colours of soft play can be an assault on the senses and I find this calmer (although I'm sure there will be shouting and screaming like everywhere). Not sure kids would agree about the colours and I do feel like maybe the poles should be brightly coloured for safety!! But as a parent I'd be quite happy here

Turisti · 08/06/2024 13:24

Looks lovely.

Withswitch · 08/06/2024 13:26

I like it but it looks tiny.

penguinbiscuits · 08/06/2024 13:27

Beautiful. I'd love to visit.

Pretentious soft play for the MC child.

Yes- I quite like the muted colours but it is a little bit 'organic, sugar-free soft play'.

PuttingDownRoots · 08/06/2024 13:36

Is there a ball pool and a really steep slide?
The colour doesn't matter. The play opportunities do.

msbevvy · 08/06/2024 13:16

It is a lot more colourful than this pretentious one. Not sure if it still exists, hopefully not.

Not sure about the soft play, but the face mask is very out of place!

sarahc336 · 08/06/2024 13:43

I prefer it that those awful ones with so many bright garish clashing colours. Gives me a head ache just thinking of them.

EnglishBluebell · 08/06/2024 13:47

I know exactly what you mean. All these lip-filler & orange tanned instagrammers who only allow their children to have a beige bouncy castle and white balloons. All beige toys & clothes, just because it looks 'trendy' 😳 It's really quite sad and disturbingly selfish.

CrushingOnRubies · 08/06/2024 13:48

What's wrong with it. Its not headache inducing like most soft plays with the clashing bright colours

TribeofFfive · 08/06/2024 13:48

It looks so nice. Much better than the awfully overstimulating, sensory overloading bright colours these places are usually decked out with.
Cannot stand soft play and thankfully nor do my DC but I’d happily go there.

My son has autism and sensory processing disorder so he only tends to have muted colours. I’m assuming that’s ok with you though as I don’t have lip fillers or fake tan.

Velvetbee · 08/06/2024 13:50

That’s looks lovely. My youngest is 17 now but the thought of soft play still makes me shudder; so many hours trapped in sensory hell.

HippyShopper · 08/06/2024 13:51

I really like it, no sensory overload! It would’ve been perfect for my DC who both have ASD .

cariadlet · 08/06/2024 13:52

I'm thankfully past the sift play stage but this one looks good to me too.

Probably won't be so lovely and calming though when full of children.

whosthefoolnow · 08/06/2024 14:07

Looks lovely. Don't understand the comments about no colour. I can see green blue and yellow.
And it has natural lighting which is something that none of the soft play centres near us have.

Olika · 08/06/2024 14:20

I really like it. I much rather took my DD to a place like that than those colourful ones.

Swingingvvoter · 08/06/2024 14:22

It's beautiful and calming

Springles · 08/06/2024 14:23

Oh wow it's amazing. Beautiful. Kids will have a blast. Wish we had this near us.
