I can hear 16yr old DS belting out Queen's "Radio Gaga". This makes me very happy, it's my favourite song.

No idea why he's singing it SO LOUDLY though. The neighbours are probably wondering the same...😄

My next door neighbours are arguing . . . well, to be accurate, she is haranguing him about money, yet again! I don't know how she can keep shouting for so long . . . . 🙁

Needmorelego · 06/06/2024 22:34

The upstairs flats TV.
They're watching politics.
Wish they'd turn it down (it's not usually this loud - I reckon the batteries in their hearing aids have probably got low 😂).
In a few hours it will be the neighbourhood foxes doing their nosy fox thing.

PMAalltheway · 06/06/2024 22:36

That's lovely Smile
I can hear my elderly neighbours TV but she has it on all day/night so it's a bit like white noise to me now.

missshilling · 06/06/2024 22:37

Nothing. Not a thing.

troppibambini6 · 06/06/2024 22:38

The tv and the dogs claws clattering on the floor while they pootle about.

My boy cat chittering to me

Branleuse · 06/06/2024 22:39

Buzzing in ears. Eldest son debating with someone on discord. Someone coughing in the street outside

TeamPolin · 06/06/2024 22:39

Tinnitus....

Maureenthemagicunicorn · 06/06/2024 22:39

My husband playing the acoustic guitar downstairs and Romesh Ranganathan talking about pygmy hippoes in his travel show, on my laptop.

stressedespresso · 06/06/2024 22:40

Tinnitus 😞

YorkieTheRabbit · 06/06/2024 22:40

Two snoring dogs 😊

Eyesopenwideawake · 06/06/2024 22:41

An amazing thunderstorm! We were sitting outside watching the lightening until the rain started a few minutes ago. Love the power of nature.

hollysmumma · 06/06/2024 22:41

Tinnitus

Nellieinthebarn · 06/06/2024 22:41

The dog gently snoring.

SingingSands · 06/06/2024 22:41

I'm in the tinnitus club too - sympathies and solidarity to my fellow members.

@totallynotstressingatall I LOVE when cats chitter!

Ps you've not paid the cat tax - you know the rule: photo!

DH playing the piano

SingingSands · 06/06/2024 22:43

@Eyesopenwideawake fab! Enjoy for me please, listening to a thunderstorm is one of life's pleasures!

T20 cricket on the TV, the cat rumbling away next to me and the occasional snore from DP upstairs. All is good.

Muffin101 · 06/06/2024 22:44

Nothing. Absolutely nothing and it’s divine. My son is fast asleep, as are the dogs. The horses and cows are all happily in the fields, not the sheds/stables. The washing machine finished half an hour ago, so no noise on that front. It’s lovely!

shellyleppard · 06/06/2024 22:45

Singing sands your son has good taste in music!!! I can hear the cat crunching up biscuits in the other room Lol. Kids are going to the loo for the umpteenth time 🙄🥂

SingingSands · 06/06/2024 22:45

Enjoy the quiet bliss @Muffin101

For those of you suffering from tinnitus it can be greatly reduced by hypnosis/hypnotherapy - it works by asking the mind to filter it out as being an unnecessary noise that you don't need to hear.

SingingSands · 06/06/2024 22:46

@shellyleppard I used to love hearing the cat crunching his biscuits and then he'd appear a few mins later looking sad because his biscuits were all finished 😄

Purring cat in one ear
One neighbour is clattering about in his work van like most evenings
Another is taking her dog for a wee, must go about 5m from the door and that's the farthest I've seen it been walked, possibly an XL due to muzzle and shape but not an expert at all.
They'll go in in a minute and for the amount of flats here and the road it's almost silent most nights for which I'm grateful 😊
