I can't stand him, awful man but he has a wife and family so it's them I feel for.

Whats he done to deserve your displeasure?

High five?! I have been using it as a prayer emoji!!! Please tell me it's a prayer emoji otherwise a few people are going to think I've been taking the piss.

Of course it's a prayer emoji. I don't care what anyone's keyboard says, or any random websites. It's a well documented fact that 🙏 is a praying emoji. People are just being pedantic and awkward for the sake of it, because they're bored and want to cause discord on the thread. Such breathtakingly poor behaviour, and in very bad taste - to whitter on about an emoji someone has posted. FGS have a word with yourself!

That video is really helpful. There seems to be one arduous bit involving steps at the beginning ( the end of the video as the presenter set off from Pedi) .

But in itself it's not what I would consider dangerous at all - and I am very very careful as have vertigo.

It doesn't have the dramatic seeming drops implied by the overhead shots.

The one main issue of course is the heat. Plus they had just finished a big tour in the U.K., then had the flight plus ferry ride to the island. I wouldn't be surprised if he was tired and stressed. So maybe all that combined triggered a medical issue.

I still can't understand why he hasn't been found though. It's all so terribly sad. His poor family.

Forced her to eat healthy? 😆

Where is the video? Can anyone link it please

The dogs are usually very efficient so they will find him if he's had an accident.

I can't stand him, awful man but he has a wife and family so it's them I feel for.

If you can't stand him, find another thread. Your post is in very bad taste.

User14March · 07/06/2024 11:31

As he was apparently seen at the bus stop did he decide to go elsewhere on the bus on a whim?

Words · 07/06/2024 11:32

Hi it's quite a bit further up the thread. Can't link but hopefully someone will

I keep scrolling back to see it and I can't find it.

Right I'll look from the start if thread again

MyQuaintDog · 07/06/2024 11:34

Its on page 25 I think, maybe 26?

wtf why would you say that on a thread where his disappearance is being discussed. I’ve never heard a bad word said about him, he comes across as lovely and he’s helping people get healthy. He’s hardly Tommy Robinson.

Some people are grief vultures and need to make everything about themselves.

I think the bus stop sighting has been discounted. ? Guardian ? Talk of his wife viewing cctv and despite v similar clothing said it wasn't him.

Yes! Like the ones who come onto a thread about someone in the public eye who's died, just to say they never liked them or had never heard of them! Twattish behaviour.

Michael Mosley is 67. Your ageism is very inappropriate at this time.

But 67 is elderly. No matter what anyone says, a person who is just a couple of years off their 70s, IS going to be more vulnerable than someone say, in their 20s, 30s, or even 40s. It's not 'ageist' to state this extremely obvious fact.

Even when there is a flu virus going around, the medical experts say that older people (over 65 usually) will be much more likely to be seriously ill from it, than someone who is only say, 20-45.

Why do people get so upset and angry at people stating facts, just because it's about someone a bit older? Confused I find this very bizarre attitude on here a lot. Never see it in real life.

MyQuaintDog · 07/06/2024 11:38

Quite a few people have mentioned that he is an experienced hiker. Sadly it is often fit experienced hikers who are more likely to get into trouble. They are more confident in their abilities and would think it is just a short walk home. Someone like me in my sixties who is fat would have taken the bus as people like me are not at all confident in our ability to walk that path in strong heat with no shade.
So I am sure Michael thought like some on here. I am only in my sixties, I am fit and its a short walk so I will be fine.
There is little vegetation, but there are plenty of places where he could be hidden in the walk. He might have gone to sit in the shade of a large boulder off the path. Or he may have went into the water to try and cool down.

It's 100% a PRAYER emoji. How embarrassing for you.

🙏

THIS is high five.

🙌

It’s listed as both, and was originally meant as a high five but people didn’t get it.

How embarrassing for you @LikeWhoUsesTypewritersAnyway

4fingerKitKat · 07/06/2024 11:39

i’m in a running club with a 78 year old who can absolutely leave me for dust. 67 is not old!

I do agree with THAT! ^

Starting a thread about someone who is missing or has died is fine. But coming onto the thread purely to say they never heard of them, or they really dislike them is crass and shitty behaviour.

I’m struggling to understand this too. Is this poster thinking of a different person?? How can anyone not ‘stand’ this inoffensive, kind, warm friendly doctor who has helped thousands??

MyQuaintDog · 07/06/2024 11:40

@LikeWhoUsesTypewritersAnyway I think a lot of people like to deny the impact of age. Our bodies get older. I am in my sixties and have a small sports injury. It takes way longer to recover than it would have 40 years ago. It does not mean we are frail and can hardly walk, but our bodies are older.

So - you admit that it's NOT classed as a high-five emoji!

You have literally stated that there was an attempt to make it a high-five emoji many years ago, but people didn't get it/didn't accept it. So it is now universally known as a PRAYER emoji, (and has been for many years!) just like most people have been saying on here!

How embarrassing for you! 😆

.

Not that this is the thread for it. But you're wrong. If I type pray in my phone it comes up with 🙏

Type in high five and it comes up there as well.

Yes, if he falls on the path, he could hurt himself on the rocks but it's hard to see if he could actually fall into the sea from the path.

I wonder if he has gone for a swim due to the heat but thatalso seems unlikely given he was not wearing swim wear.
