I have shared with a few people and got a 🤢 response back

I think it's lovely.

Would you eat your steak this way?

I agree with everyone else. It needs more heat on the outside but for less time so you get that lovely char but the middle stays lovely and red. It's the contrast between the two that makes a good steak.

HawkersEast · 31/05/2024 14:39

It looks a little grey....

Summertimer · 31/05/2024 14:42

Looks fine, I eat mine rarer than that. I would call that medium and be surprised if people said 🤢as it’s not far off well done

How weirdly pale and lacking in bloody juices.

Looks more like pork medallion.

Can't be an aged steak, so I'm assuming it's some cheap supermarket pink offering.

Chypre · 31/05/2024 14:49

Color is very pale, looks more like pork than beef to me! Definitely would not eat pork medallions rare.

mbosnz · 31/05/2024 14:50

I like my steak so a good vet could resuscitate it, so it's a bit well done for my absolute steak heaven, but I'd quite happily eat it.

Westfacing · 31/05/2024 14:52

Looks more like a piece of tuna!

It's not seared enough on the outside and overcooked on the inside for my taste, but I'd eat it.

Westfacing · 31/05/2024 14:54

I prefer ribeye to fillet - wouldn't turn one down but given the choice...

alittlebitofwhatyoufancy21 · 31/05/2024 14:59

It doesn't look like beef at all
What cut is it? It looks like pork

maddiemookins16mum · 31/05/2024 15:07

I use the 1 - 10 rating for steaks, 1 being raw and 10 being cooked to bugg*ry.

Yours looks a 5.5, I have mine a 3.75.

purepoison · 31/05/2024 15:08

I like a 10, no less

BoobyDazzler · 31/05/2024 15:11

I like my steak rare but the outside of this hasn’t been done enough for me.

It doesn't look bad and it certainly doesn’t look unpleasant though.

evtheria · 31/05/2024 15:11

The inside is fine for me but the outside doesn't look like it's been seared enough.

Floatinginatincan · 31/05/2024 15:14

If i was really, I would, but it doesn't look appealing at all. Looks bland, under seasoned, and not well cooked on the outside. It's so pale that it could pass for a pork chop.

GiddyMare · 31/05/2024 15:15

It's quite grey and not very appetising to me. I do like steak and would eat it rare, but that doesn't look good. Agree it almost looks like tuna or pork.

WorriedRelative · 31/05/2024 15:18

Looks awful, the pan/grill wasn't hot enough. I would want a better sear on the outside and then more rare inside.

pocketaces · 31/05/2024 15:24

sandycans · 31/05/2024 12:31

No, just a steak! I don't like fillets

And no chips. I'm being good Grin

Er, I don't think you understood the question

TheFlis · 31/05/2024 15:32

Looks a bit anaemic for me but not too rare. Definitely needed a much hotter pan!

Turisti · 31/05/2024 15:37

I'd eat it but it's overcooked.

sprigatito · 31/05/2024 15:38

What have you done, boiled it?! There should be a real contrast of colours, a darker sear on the outside and pink with a core of ruby red in the middle. This looks more like pork. I wouldn't fancy it.

bouquetofpheasants · 31/05/2024 15:39

It’s cooked by someone who can’t cook a steak, rare or not rare.

Why share a photo of a half eaten steak anyway? The picture in itself looks nasty.

Oh the irony! 😂 I eat meat, but believing you are good for eating meat is quite funny.

CatWontBudge · 31/05/2024 15:43

The colour of the meat is so pale it looks more like pork.

Maybe the cow was a little anaemic.

KnittedCardi · 31/05/2024 15:43

I would say overcooked for me. There's no oozing blood or red middle. No juice.

CaseyAndFinneganLoveMrDressup · 31/05/2024 15:45

Yuck. It looks like dog food. No way Jose.
