Would you judge me for wearing shorts and not shaving?

I genuinely don't remember the last time u shaved my legs. I decided to wear shorts today.
Would you judge me if you noticed I haven't shaved my legs?
Just a general wondering. I'm quite light haired too if that makes a difference.

Would you immediately think I was gross? Or would you have as few cares about it as I do?

OP posts:
PennyPugwash · 20/05/2024 00:34

Yes, I think it's horrible.

Scottishdreams1991 · 20/05/2024 00:34

Yes but i judge myself for judging.

FuckTheClubUp · 20/05/2024 00:37

I wouldn’t judge but it’d probably catch my attention if the hairs are dark.

I definitely judge women who wear sandals and haven’t even bothered to paint their toenails or cream their feet. YUCK. I won’t even mention men, they should never have their mingers out in open toe shoes

margegunderson · 20/05/2024 00:38

No. Go for it and help change the current ridiculous norms

ApplesinmyPocket · 20/05/2024 01:13

"I definitely judge women who wear sandals and haven’t even bothered to paint their toenails or cream their feet"

We have to CREAM our FEET?

I'm in my 60s and never knew I had to do this. Why, and what sort of cream? I have never noticed someone's feet and felt faint because they looked uncreamed?!

Oh god I wear sandals too and hardly ever bother to paint my toenails. I'm doomed.

😆

Gettingbysomehow · 20/05/2024 01:17

No, I never shave my legs, like yours mine are fair.
If you lived in Germany nobody would care, I often used to see very attractive young women in shorts with very hairy legs.

Whycantiwinmillionsandsquillions · 20/05/2024 06:40

Why on earth should I paint my toenails??????
You can fuck off with that.
My feet are perfectly fine as they are thanks. My fingernails are also paint free as we speak.
I look absolutely fine.

Jifmicroliquid · 20/05/2024 06:42

I wouldn’t judge, but you might find that people notice and look or stare.
Depends if you are ok with that.

Majorpom · 20/05/2024 06:47

Surprising to see so many people saying they don’t shave their legs.
I see a lot of legs in shorts as I’m a runner and I’ve never spotted any unshaven ones. And I do tend to look because I’m pretty shit at shaving my own and am always amazed that other women don’t have patches that they’ve missed like I do!
If I did see someone I’d be surprised but not judgy.

LoveMeLoveMySecondHead · 20/05/2024 06:48

Painted toenails always seem slightly comical to me. I don't judge people who have them, or think they shouldn't — it's just those sudden random little splodges of vivid colour, miles away from any other commonly coloured-in body parts. They're sort of incongruous, like a pigeon in a tutu.

Stopmotion24 · 20/05/2024 06:48

No I wouldn’t judge regardless of the type of hair.

Maybe that is because they are not so visible at normal distance

fridaynight1 · 20/05/2024 06:53

No judgement from me. Most people aren’t looking at other peoples legs.

Einwegflasche · 20/05/2024 06:55

While I would tend to shave my legs if wearing shorts I wouldn't judge anyone else who didn't - your legs, your choice!

transformandriseup · 20/05/2024 06:55

I wish I could get away with this myself but my hair grows to coarse and thick so it would definitely be noticeable. I don't judge others in they don't shave though.

Well who would be the rude one in this case?
The one staring.

Many years ago a friend visited, we sat outside in my garden and I noticed that she hadnt shaved her legs in a few days. I was flabbergasted and said something.
Wisely she said, even if people notice, they wont be so rude as to say anything.

I actually had a nightmare the other night I went out in shorts and looked down and my legs were very hairy! So yes I would judge!

Have you thought about how much you have been influenced by society to have such a visceral reaction?

Unless of course you do the same for men and have a weird leg hair phobia.

OP I've noticed that a lot of you get women no longer shave their legs or armpits. So you are not alone! I stopped several years ago and no one has ever commented.

DreadPirateRobots · 20/05/2024 07:04

Amount of mental energy or attention I have ever ever given to another woman's body hair: zero.

Botanica · 20/05/2024 07:06

If I noticed I'd be surprised, but in absolute admiration.

Having dark hair on my legs that I feel always needs shaving has held me back so many times from wearing what I want that I wish we all just could reset societal expectations and feel free to bare our legs as they are.

I'd love to be a man in that regard - just throw on the shorts whenever with no prep needed.

Purplecatshopaholic · 20/05/2024 07:10

If I even noticed I wouldn’t judge as such, although might be mildly surprised I suppose. Never seen it before, everyone I know shaves their legs. Now, chipped toe nail varnish? That I judge, lol. Oh, and cracked heels? Shudders

HangingOver · 20/05/2024 07:16

I'd be cheering you on inside my head

Me too Smile

UtterlyOtterly · 20/05/2024 07:19

I wouldn't judge, and anyway, I would only be able to see if I had my reading glasses on which is unlikely when I'm out and about.

RDMPrules · 20/05/2024 07:37

My dd aged 16 wears shorts without shaving and her hair is quite dark. She owns a shaver so I assume she's happy with her choice and I don't question it. (She is not one to follow trends, doesn't do make up or nails either)
I do see women with hairy legs out ocassionally, I don't care. I prefer to shave mine but each to their own.

Excuse my ignorance but creaming your feet? Why? How would you even know if someone had done this? Too many questions here
