Facebook groups you’ve been rejected or ejected from

I was complaining to my neighbour that I had been denied access to a facebook group (fyi the bar for men is so low it’s a tavern in hades), she said she was once rejected for joining a bowl club facebook group….. the worst part is that she set up the bowls club in question and is currently their treasurer!! Can anyone beat that?

Kicked out of a local town news group because I blocked the admin. They kept posting town updates as their dog and it was so annoying. "The hooman is taken me walkies and for sausages! Yummy!" Absolute boke.

Rejected from to Co sleeping group because is can't sleep in one position with baby. Actually suggested another that was safe but not approved by then. Mentioned a baby product that was banned in America but not the uk.

I once commented on a post on a Disney Running group and a bloke replied to my comment essentially mansplaining something. I replied "no sh!t Sherlock!" - banned for X weeks because my reply was deemed "too aggressive and not in the Disney spirit" 😂

Local walking group, an admin posted a picture up a mountain in deep snow, cue everyone asking "ooh where is this, need to go!". I commented that this must be an old picture because I could see said mountain from my house and there had been no snow on it for weeks. Instantly removed and blocked! 🚫

Group for sharing IronMan (triathlon) tattoo ideas. Lady posted a picture of her new tattoo that was a clever take on it. Lots of men getting very offended because the brand is "IronMAN", some comments were quite nasty and misogynistic. After of us called them out, instantly blocked 🚫

A chihuahua lovers/owners fb group which had a lot of Americans on it.I got blocked from it and I think looking back it was because you could see my dogs dick and balls on a pic 🤣 the UK group I'm in now doesn't give a shit

A facebook group about reactive dogs. Turns out the American administrator was a supporter of physical corrective measures and when I told her exactly what I thought of a video she’d posted of an US ‘trainer’ whacking dogs with a rolled up towel she banned me before I could leave.

Oh I can imagine actually. I was scared of the woman who spearheaded the hunt, just from watching the documentary. Those Ricardians take no prisoners.

I was also banned from the Popsy dress group and I don’t know why. When I queried it on a post on their main page they just banned me from that too!
I’m sad to say I had totally bought into the whole thing of Popsy being my friend and not just wanting my money, and I was really upset. Now I’m mainly just bitter!

I got thrown out of my local fb group when someone posted that they “urgently” required a new fridge freezer as the light wasn’t working when the opened the door!
I did explain it was only the bulb, and she could purchase one and the fridge was fine.
She having any of it though, saying if the light didn’t work the fridge wasn’t working and was getting abusive.

I then posted saying I needed a new house urgently as the light in the living room wasn’t working when I opened the front door.

I got booted out….

I wasn't really ejected, but had a post deleted and a stern DM from some fool running a page of teens with ASD. I was part of a convo with other worried mums looking for support, but made the mistake of using the word 'fuck'.

Apparently this is unacceptable. In a conversation between adults, about a very stressful thing.

Got banned from a crime novel group because there were a lot of 'jokey' memes that were dripping in misogyny and making light of domestic abuse. Had an argument on messenger with an admin who then kicked me out of the group because apparently I was 'too sensitive' for calling it out.

Also got a warning from Facebook and threatened with a ban for telling someone I'd bought a dress from Fat Face and it got flagged as me bullying someone. Fucking Zuckerberg.

@CSPS2019 i took their screening quiz so seriously. I took it more seriously than my GCSE’s and still was rejected. I’m not trying again! Good for you though, will there be a fourth time?

Also banned from the Popsy group. Possibly liked a vaguely critical comment or a comment by someone suggesting some of the members were over and it may not be the best idea to be sharing info with 55k strangers. I think a lot of people have suffered the same fate!

I was kicked out of a feminism group for being a "SWERF" (sex worker exclusionary radical feminist) because I mentioned that I had been sex trafficked as a young woman.

And I was barred from a Zoflora group for telling a woman she shouldn't soak her feet in it.

I don't know which confused me more really.

I've been kicked out of quite a few for stating what a woman is, and from another group for being homophobic because I said Harry Styles hasn't come out as gay!

I got kicked out of a b&m bargains group as I found something discounted and I didn't post at the time about the bargain found. It was the last one so I didn't think I needed to! Strange rules form power mad admins!

I got kicked off a curly girl fb group for saying I sometimes shampoo my hair 🤷‍♀️😂

Banned from the Facebook page for the road on which we live. My crime was that I hadn’t liked enough posts. We had only moved in 8 weeks earlier.
The admin are now posting that they want more people to join the group and are asking how they could make the group more friendly as it’s ‘such a friendly place to live.’ (it’s really not unless you are into drugs/muggings/burglaries and dog shit.)

@Bornnotbourne Same. After the first 2 attempts were declined, I resorted to putting the rules into ChatGBT and asking for answers there. Still declined. I’d like to say I won’t try again but I know I probably will!

I've told this story before. I got kicked out of a local selling group because someone posted asking if anyone had a child's organ for sale. I said I had a liver that would be suitable for a 9 year old.
