Do you think Michael Jackson was guilty?

InnocentOrGuilty · 12/05/2024 09:48

Of the sexual abuse of boys.
I'm interested in a poll.
G = you think he was definitely guilty
I = you think he was innocent

People here comparing MJ to Jimmy S fail to accept that MJ was heavily investigated by the FBI for 10 years and was found not guilty while allegations against JS were made and investigated after his death, leading the police to conclude that he had been a predatory sex offender so if he was alive he would have been charged.

There is no comparison.

I’m not saying that MJ was a reasonable and stable man, he certainly was odd and eccentric, all artists are to some degree. But he is not guilty for the crimes he is accused of - if there is so much overwhelming evidence like people claim, why was he found not guilty?

OJ Simpson was also found not guilty.
How did he get away with it?
Money. Lots of it. 💰💰

Yes he was able to buy an accomplished defence team who outplayed the public prosecutors.

Also his case became a huge race issue and he benefitted from backlash against police bigotry towards Black people.

In regards, to his pc searches, someome posted a wiki link with info about the FBI report, a part of it says:

The FBI found nothing incriminating on the drives, and the computer history contained no record of accessing or searching for illegal material.

Surely, if they have found anything like as you are saying then he would have been in deep trouble just for that?

Having said that the report was 600 pages and they only released a 659 or pages, I wonder what info they kept back from the public.

Why not read the itemised police list of all the stuff found in his room? Not on his pc, actually in his room. It included what I described - adult porn and books of nude children and adolescents. He got away with it because adult porn is not illegal and neither “arty” books of naked children. There was also a bag with underwear with blood on.

LauderSyme · 13/05/2024 08:40

Totally justifiable backlash, I want to make that clear, but OJ was it's horrifically undeserving beneficiary.

When people say he was abused in childhood we need to remember this is coming from a renowned liar who claimed in 2004 that he had never had plastic surgery.

Reminder: he looked like this.

I don’t believe a word that comes out his mouth

Who cares, really? The most in consequencial lie ever, we've all lied. I hope you're not on a jury anytime soon.

And this isn't me commenting on his guilt, because I haven't heard all the evidence and nobody knows. But come on.

HornyHornersPinger · 13/05/2024 09:26

Guilty as hell. Always thought he was then watched Finding Neverland and saw how one of the guys said the abuse didn't affect him badly until he had children of his own... That's EXACTLY what happened to me. I was abused by a family member and denied anything had happened aged 12 because I wanted to protect my abuser. 16 years later I reported that abuser to the police when I had a daughter the same age I was when the abuse started.
I 1000% believe those 2 guys.

Pedallleur · 13/05/2024 09:37

he had a weird life. tales of recording where he hid under the control desk and passed messages to the musicians via a 3rd party. But guilty? yes i think so but Hollywood could/can forgive most things where money/fame are involved. Everything was behind closed doors. Cant remember if any of the staff testified.

Chaoseverywhere · 13/05/2024 03:41

I like to think innocent. I still feel there’s a chance he didn’t do anything wrong and was not interested in sex at all. Reading all these comments I can see how naive that sounds but to me nothing has ever convinced me that he is guilty.

Not even the 8/9 credible and often detailed allegations? Or the fact he acted so much like a pedophile?

YaMuvva · 13/05/2024 10:07

catlady7 · 13/05/2024 03:51

My exact thoughts.

So would you let your child have a sleepover at his?

YaMuvva · 13/05/2024 10:08

Sushilover14 · 13/05/2024 04:47

I don’t think he did it. I think he was stigmatised for being somewhat ‘odd’. But I think he regressed more into behaving like a child and so therefore looked to the company of children. I suppose it is hard for the masses to get, but this doesn’t automatically make him a SO.

Even if that’s true - are you not disturbed by the revolving door of ‘friendships’ with little boys and how he’d dump them for a new pretty little boy as soon as they got to a certain age? How do you think that makes a child feel?

Now a days you can watch people transforming their faces in front of you. It is called make up

😂😂😂😂
Yeah this is just make up.

Imagine falling hook like and sinker for the lies of a nonce

Do you think Michael Jackson was guilty?
Ohmych · 13/05/2024 10:12

I think he was definitely guilty a d have for a very long time.

FictionalCharacter · 13/05/2024 10:14

YaMuvva · 12/05/2024 21:52

Can I ask you - if it was Barry down the road who worked in Asda (but was REALLY GOOD at his job) who befriended pretty little boys in the local area, had them dress in Asda uniforms, sleep over in his bedroom, had a playground in his back garden, owned picture books full of young naked boys and was twice charged with child sexual abuse - would you be saying he was innocent too?

This is the one the MJ supporters never answer. They just keep saying “no proof, no evidence”.
Not only did Barry from Asda do all that, he gave the boys’ families lavish gifts and holidays, and talked to the media saying how beautiful, pure and innocent it was to have young boys sleep in his bed. Not the most normal thing to say.
A PP mentioned that his little-boy voice wasn’t his real voice, which was much deeper. I can believe that. He was known to be a perfectionist and a hard taskmaster to his backing singers and dancers. I can’t imagine a perfectionist instructing a team in that whiny, breathy, childlike voice.

The fact he was charged twice shows just how much more guilty he was than Saville could ever be accused of.

Do you know how hard it is to secure convictions for sex offenders? And that the rate is as low as 1%? Does that mean 99% of victims are lying? No. And given what defence lawyers can get away with in trials, this case was won with a combination of trickery by the defence team and a stupid jury (I’ve seen interviews where they seemingly decided MJ could be found not guilty because the victim’s mother once went shoplifting).

Theres absolutely a comparison and to say Saville is guilty but Jackson is innocent makes you a massive hypocrite

Had Jackson not terrified his victims into silence and more spoke out maybe he’d have been convicted. But superfans like you put victims off speaking out. Hope that makes you feel proud. look what Jordan Chandler endured, and Gavin Arvizo who had overcome cancer. Those boys were filmed sitting on his crotch and cuddling up to him - that’s not “odd and eccentric” it’s pedophilic. Do YOU do that with random kids?

And could you perhaps answer the Barry from Asda analogy please?

As did Jackson’s, he was still a black man after all

SAME!!

I remember having DD in the maternity ward and BAM it hit me - imagine if someone did to her what happened to me. I just sobbed and sobbed.

My best friend is a psychologist who works with adult survivors of CPTSD and CSA. She says it’s almost always having children of their own that triggers CSA victims to realise they were abused.

Yes the “I didn’t have a childhood so I’m recreating it now” was the story he wanted people to buy so he could hide in plain sight. Only half wits actually buy this bullshit. I was a pre-teen when he started parading his little boy friends round in public, and I remember finding it deeply disturbing then and o think every single member of staff who knew exactly what was going on and did nothing shoudl be prosecuted. I hope his victims bleed his estate dry for every penny and win their case because it will set a precedent that record companies have a duty of care to children (like the Church or Scouts do) because I am betting this child trafficking like what MJ did still happens in some circles

I was prepared to give him the benefit of the doubt ,but after I watched Leaving Nevervland ,I think he's guilty ,it was very uncomfortable watch
And even if he wsent guilty of sexual abuse he was certainly guilty of emotional abuse, he built those boys up to think they were everything to him than he dropped them once they became teenagers

YaMuvva · 13/05/2024 11:00

I know Jackson superfans who won’t watch Leaving Neverland because “It’s biased”.

How convenient
