I'm South East, but it's on my bucket list to see it in real life 🤞🏽.

Do I have to be looking to the north to see them or will I see them looking out of my west facing bedroom window?

Thunder storm here and chucking it down so don't think it'll happen tonight

We didn’t see anything personally but lots of my friends did, think it’s only on camera though, nothing with naked eye

I’m up, but pretty far south and it’s cloudy. If anyone spots them post here so I can try my luck too 🤞🏻 got them down here the other day but I missed it

It's clear sky and in Yorkshire but can't see anything of note on camera.

On Friday night, we were able to see it very clearly with the naked eye - rural Nottinghamshire. It went on for a couple of hours and stretched across the entire sky - fantastic!

It was beautiful wasn't it? I’m rural Notts too, and could see it with the naked eye across the sky like you said, but got some incredible shots through my camera.

Yes! Unfortunately, I don't have a good mobile phone camera - but it was spectacular enough as it was. Apparently, seeing the red and pink colours, rather than just greens, is quite rare as well. I do wonder whether all of the complaints about them only being visible using cameras was due to most people's experience being badly affected by light pollution. We were lucky to be in a location that was reasonably dark.

I had a quick look outside late last night and didn't see the aurora again, but I got the ISS as a consolation prize instead.

My DS3 took these... over Corsham in Wiltshire. I'm 8 miles away and couldn't see anything

But could he, without the camera?
