Anyone staying up to try and glimpse the Aurora Borealis?

Not quite sure if I can see green in Edinburgh! Nothing on my phone camera but it's green through video ! Am I seeing things!

It’s here now in East Sussex ☺️. Not very impressive looking compared to the photos on this thread but I’ve seen it with my own eyes! Never would’ve imagined it would be possible on the south coast

I stayed outside for two hours & saw nothing at all, gave up at midnight.

It’s looking like activity may pick up tonight, but as always it’s not possible to predict exactly when and where.

I'm cursing a little because the 2am notification upgraded the likelihood to red. I only went to bed at 1.45am. Drat!

Friday was the night to be out folks. Sorry if you were slumbering but the ship has sailed now.

The Aurora showed up in the Midlands - and what a spectacular sight it was! I went to Norway and Sweden earlier on the year so had been lucky enough to see them then, but this was an even better and more colourful display

are we to see them again this evening? We truly have been spoilt. Hope them come again soon

@Pelsall116 can you see them with your eyes in Norway? Or do you also need a phone/camera to be able to see it fully?

got a thunderstorm going on here so dont think there will be anything to see cloudy last night so no show then either

@CocoCarrie its not looking promising at the moment, the disturbance level is low at the moment, but always possible it might build overnight.

you can see them with the naked eye on a good night - but its still a clearer view through a phone/camera
