Anyone staying up to try and glimpse the Aurora Borealis?

I'm South East, but it's on my bucket list to see it in real life 🤞🏽.

We are in Kent. With the naked eye I could clearly see faint pink and green shadows moving, but on my phone it looks amazing!

Wow. Not been watching the news been too hectic. Missed this altogether!!

Still happening here, the green is really dancing around.

Durham coast - images taken by a friend. By the time I got out they were much more subtle. These were around midnight.

Ohh not. I missed this completely. South London so not sure if they would have been visible here though. Photos are amazing

I was working so I didn’t see any of this until after 2am!

I managed to catch the tail end which was stunning but nowhere near as spectacular as many others.

I’ve heard there’s a chance of a repeat tomorrow night - does anyone know?

Oops just woke up on sofa. Already light and birds tweeting. Maybe tomorrow I can see the beautiful nothings.

That's totally normal. I live in Northern BC in Canada and we frequently see the Northern Lights. It's generally faint green and pink/purple streaks, but point your cellphone camera at the sky and it looks like it's really vibrant. I feel so sorry for people who pay a fortune for trips to view the Aurora Borealis, thinking that they'll see what people post online, and they see a dull green stripe in the night sky.

North London midnight. We could see greens and reds, and what looked like contrails but were aurora structures.

I missed it last night and I'm hoping and praying for them to come out tonight so I can hopefully see them but I don't know if it was a one off thing last night

I went to bed thinking it was all a bit Day of the Triffids - but glad to report I can still see this morning 😆

Oh gutted. So many photos on fb this morning and fell asleep on sofa. Is there a chance for this evening does anyone know?

I'm staying up again tonight, it was just awe inspiring to know they're up there, dancing away.
