Putin invaded the Crimea ten years ago. The west did nothing really.
Then he invaded Ukraine in 2022.

If you look back at Hitler in the 1930s , he invaded other countries and the world did nothing but stand back.

Putin knows no other country will actually put troops into Ukraine.

I don’t think he “knows” that at all. He is very cautious around any NATO intervention and has done an awful lot to avoid it.
