I would be very happy to get rid of the 20 different passwords I need but all the 3rd party platforms I access at work use them too. The ones I particularly hate are the ones that have to be changed every month but I only use 4 or 5 times a year so I need to faff around changing them every single time.

I can't be responsible for other companies crap tech and lazy thinking.

Do you even know if your passwords are stored encrypted ?

cakeorwine · 13/05/2024 17:15

When you read it, it sounds like a political election speech. Or a broadcast

Cheguevarahamster · 13/05/2024 17:48

I don't know if anyone had seen this but this sums up Sunak's speech nicely. His speech written the style of super Mario. https://twitter.com/sharonodea/status/1790050507207184586?t=m8CDxHPHrIexKTNwY8VH1Q&s=19

Here's guessing it won't make any political impact on the polls.

Yep

I think as one commentator said "People have stopped listening to the Tories"

Plus his rhetoric doesn't match peoples experiences of health, roads etc etc

We all know its the Tories that have reduced our armed services too.

RafaistheKingofClay · 13/05/2024 18:05

Perhaps before we start reaching for the ‘highs’ of every child having a personal AI assistant we should perhaps focus on the basics like making sure the building doesn’t fall down on the children.

I think the speech was given at the policy exchange so that explains the logo being everywhere.

RafaistheKingofClay · 13/05/2024 18:08

DuncinToffee · 13/05/2024 12:50

Your data is safe with the Tories, oops

https://x.com/RMCunliffe/status/1789940785581891602

Did anyone else just get this email, ostensibly from CCHQ, which has CCd rather then BCCd its recipients and thus shared hundreds of personal email addresses?

This is the most Rishi Sunak (or post 2016 Tories tbh) think to happen. It’s like they do it on purpose. It’s like crime week when they all got arrested, or the letters falling off the background of May’s strong and stable government.

Rishi is an absolute magnet for this sort of stuff though.

Let's a go! 😂

HannibalHeyes · 13/05/2024 18:34

I'm pretty sure the only plan they have is to keep repeating "the plan is working".

Given that we can all see it's not working (unless the plan is to make the rich even richer and sod the rest of us, which I'm not saying it isn't), I don't think it's really going to take...

9hSo, if I’ve got this right, it’s bad now but it will only get worse when we are gone and you can’t manage without us.

I think that’s the gist of it.

Sounds like the threat of the abuser in an abusive relationship to me…

How dare PM Sunak use "threats to our security" scaremongering! The biggest threat the UK has is this Tory government!

He's a fucking disgrace!Angry

It's been their MO for a long time. Abuse, gaslighting and straight up lying to the country.

They piss on our head and tell us it's raining.

They've relied heavily on that all through; "everyone else is a danger to us!" when it's always been them doing the most damage.

I can't help it but every time I see the words "It's a disgrace!" I see Lizzy on the cheese stand getting very cross. I keep seeing it and it's making my brain itch that this is her legacy to me, over the lettuce.

Meanwhile, quietly slipping through is news is that homeless people can breathe a sigh of relief that the Tories can no longer use your "smell" it as a cruel excuse to move you from their vicinity https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-69005091
I'm sure their think tank thought that was sure to be a vote winner too!

Rough sleeper

Powers to move rough sleepers over 'smells' dropped after Tory opposition

The power to move people on due to "smells" will no longer be in a bill, after a backlash from MPs.

TooBigForMyBoots · 13/05/2024 20:47

When I heard about the MOD database being hacked, I immediately immediately thought "I wonder what Tory MP handed over the passwords"?Hmm

Cheguevarahamster · 13/05/2024 20:48

Jess phillips being brilliant as always at the debate in the commons tonight. https://twitter.com/Haggis_UK/status/1790094762541830166?t=GzLVGWSDmgzfkdoxKIr3zA&s=19

BREAKING: MPs have voted 170-169 to exclude MPs accused of serious offences from the point of arrest instead of charge

^ pretty close 😬

That was a good speech from Phillips.
Self employment seems like a hugely handy method of ducking their responsibilities on occasion.

itsgettingweird · 13/05/2024 21:00

It sums up the past 14 years when all the Tory's have is "the worlds a dangerous place and we are your safest bet"

They can't even really say the plan is working anymore.

It's more "no one else has a plan"

We'll call a GE you fuckers and we can actually then see if anyone else does have a plan or not.

But I very much doubt it'll be any worse than yours.

It's the language of a cult!

God I hate this fucking government. They just go lower and lower and lower and push us down at the same time. And then they go even lower. And kick us in the head when we're left in the gutter.

No surprise that Rosindell voted against.

I was just about to post that.

"Natalie Elphicke is among those MPs to vote for amending the risk based exclusion policy to apply at arrest, not charge.

The motion passed by one vote."
