This says he has stepped down as MP. He hasn't yet, has he? He's still an MP til the next parliament so he already has a job. This business of MPs having second jobs that are bigger and brighter than their actual MP job makes me cross.

So the deputy speaker allows this witch hunt on Angela Rayner, but has possibly not paid her own taxes, whilst in Parliament.

Fucks sake.

You’d think the whips would have restrained Daly knowing there are all these skeletons in their own cupboard. They’re making themselves look even more hypocritical than ever with this witch hunt. I bet there are more than these four.

Apparently Robert Buckland gave evidence to the Commons standards committee about N.Elphicke 4 years ago, he never mentioned she contacted him to influence the trial of her husband.....

Yet has now come out with this allegation against NE... who is the corrupt MP?

So either there is a libel case in the making, or a criminal investigation into perverting the course of justice ? Which would fit in with a chancellor that can't pay his taxes.

Presumably Buckland is aware what not clearing his name implies ?

Wonder if this will make the front pages of the Mail/Times/Telegraph

I have updated one of the Rayner threads with this information, will await the hypocrisy cries Smile

RS giving speech now, envisaging 'every schoolchild having a personal AI assistant freeing up teachers to give 1:1 attention'. Is he on glue?

Looks like another reason to leave the UK then.

You can bet your life it will be "government approved" AI too.

Evenstar · 13/05/2024 11:21

@SerendipityJane no doubt supplied by Infosys.

His whole manner is that of someone telling small children a scary story to get them to go to bed and stay there.

MrTiddlesTheCat · 13/05/2024 11:21

'Personal AI assistant', is that like that paperclip helper thingy we had in the 1990s?

Alexandra2001 · 13/05/2024 11:21

"Labour have had 14 years to come up with a plan...." jesus christ!

If i thought he was a prat before.....

Scaremongering at its best.

RafaistheKingofClay · 13/05/2024 11:21

If they’ve all got a personal AI assistant why do they need 1:1?

Don’t worry, stay! Kier has plans for education. Well at least he has one plan . To put VAT on some of it. Although he has not actually discussed any other aspect of education.

Hmm.

Perhaps you should leave the UK after all

So have the Tories and they’ve been in government.

MrTiddlesTheCat · 13/05/2024 11:23

Who gets the 1:1 attention from the teacher?

Thing is, AI would advise putting VAT on education.
Or rather it will after I've had 2 minutes training it.

Alexandra2001 · 13/05/2024 11:29

Still banging the ERG Brexit drum!

Now saying how he will save the NHS.

...the problem is he has had 14 years but made everything worse!

DuncinToffee · 13/05/2024 11:30

"Just imagine every child in school with their own personalised tutor and every teacher free to spend more time personally developing each student," the prime minister says.

This from a bloke who lost his whatsapps Confused

RafaistheKingofClay · 13/05/2024 11:31

yeah, saving the NHS in 6 months after you’ve been destroying it for 14 years is a bit of a tall order. Especially given how well his pledge/promise/vague aim to bring down waiting lists is going.

Maybe he should ask AI to help him find them.

Do you think so? Now that is interesting.

AI is delivering this speech

OP posts:
Greengablesfables · 13/05/2024 11:39

@DuncinToffee That is horrendous (the maternity data).

Whatever happens with a next government, I’d hope they can sort this out. It wouldn’t be a huge financial outgoing to resolve / improve.

Evenstar · 13/05/2024 11:39

Hilarious that his first two questions from his favourite client journalists were highly sceptical of this utter nonsense

SerendipityJane · 13/05/2024 11:40

Greengablesfables · 13/05/2024 11:36

AI will do what it is damn well told. And if it won't then it can't be very bright can it ?

Remember, no one really knows what intelligence is anyway. So the conceit some boffins in a lab can make an artificial version is frankly for the really really stupid amongst us. Which currently looks like Rish!. Very little surprise there.
