Neighbours at it in full view

As the title suggests, there I am around 10pm last night doing the washing up and they are at it right up at the kitchen window (no curtains) in full view of me and at least 5 other flats (plus around 10 more with full/partial view of them). Girl notices me looking in disbelief and ducks down randomly in a not very effective way, still at it, both realise they are in full view and continue. I make a ‘what the heck?’ Hand gesture and they somehow back out of the kitchen and continue in the living room up at the window, again giving a good view as the curtain does not reach the windowsill at all so a good view is still on offer to all plus more flats/passersby now. Wondering what i might do now when i see one of them in their kitchen again…

Put a sign up in your window facing them

BUY A BLIND

muddyford · 28/04/2024 17:02

Or 4/10 scorecard?
Loud cheering from YouTube?

Stop watching?

HappiestSleeping · 28/04/2024 17:07

Sign up that says "Take any prize from the bottom shelf."

MotherofWomen · 28/04/2024 17:08

I’d just look away really.

Fromage · 28/04/2024 17:12

Change your wifi name to 'DoNotWantToSeeYouShaggingAtNumber46'

UnicornMamma · 28/04/2024 17:14

Hahahaha.

Our neighbours did this once so we opened our window and cheered. They soon stopped

QueSyrahSyrah · 28/04/2024 17:15

Well assuming you have a blind you could close it if you don't want to watch next time. Problem solved.

HeadacheEarthquake · 28/04/2024 17:15

Start playing "oui je t'aime moi non plus" as LOUDLY as possible

Mindymomo · 28/04/2024 17:15

Same happened when we lived in a flat and a new block was built opposite. We didn’t have a blind on our kitchen window. This couple chased each other around the flat naked and whilst it was funny, we quickly got a blind put up.

Scarletttulips · 28/04/2024 17:17

Can you get one of those loud football clackers?

Fromage · 28/04/2024 17:20

Yes! And a vuvuzela!

Fromage · 28/04/2024 17:21

Is there any way you can have a golden buzzer type contraption fitted above their windows?

LBFseBrom · 28/04/2024 17:22

You could perhaps sell tickets?

IwishIdidntlikesugar · 28/04/2024 17:36

For those suggesting I look away or stop watching, I was hardly craning my neck. It was directly opposite me. Am I supposed to keep all curtains closed all the time so they can do as they please? I dont think so!

Either close the curtains or ignore it.

Clearly just in their own home and living in the moment.

Maybe an air raid siren? 🤣

WhatFlavourIsIt · 28/04/2024 17:50

I can't see anyone suggesting you keep your curtains closed at all times. It's not really a big deal. If you clock it, just go do something else for 10 minutes or pull your blind down.

Would you decide to live in the moment up at a window facing out towards everyone? We are all quite close in proximity to each other. Bit of a selfish and silly place to choose. Lots of children in neighbouring flats too.

Give in while in my own home. Probably 😂😂😂

I doubt anyone's kids were looking at 10pm and as for the window I doubt they remembered it was there

What on earth makes you think it's going to be a regular occurance 🙄

They possibly didn't realise they could be seen. Now they do.

WhatFlavourIsIt · 28/04/2024 17:56

I would imagine that at 10pm, most kids are in bed with their curtains closed. What kind of answers are you looking for? If not the obvious, close your curtains.
