Mine was Ghent, and yes I would but I wouldn't go out of my way. I think you would run out of things to do/see very quickly!

Oh actually no, our last holiday was to Taiping in Malaysia. We'll almost certainly go back as the kids love the zoo and there's lots to do with little ones.

That's me heading off to Peterhead. We can't go too far from home because of DC and dogs who will be with my parents and DH used to be stationed at Buchan so he wants to see how it's changed up that way since he left the RAF. I'm just glad to get away for a couple of nights no matter where it is. All I need is a hotel room and some pubs and I'm happy. Grin

The coast is spectacular up there - Slains Castle to the south is worth a look (watch out for the cliffs though) and further north you can go and see the Local Hero film locations.

Back from Japan last month. Absolutely loved it but not sure I’d go back. The jet lag was a killer and there are other places I want to go.

The Wilder Kaiser in Austria. I will be going back this summer. If you enjoy the view from the top of a mountain without the work
it takes you to climb up this is the place for you.

Last holiday, DH and I got a last minute deal to Marmaris - no, I wouldn’t go back. Really didn’t love it.

Time before that was Iceland and yes, a million times yes, I’d go back. I loved it.

TheBirdintheCave · 25/04/2024 09:07

Our last holiday was to Cornwall last September. We managed to pick the week with the best weather they'd had all summer. It was utterly glorious. I'd definitely go back as we had a lovely time but I'm not sure we'd strike it so lucky with the weather!

A long weekend to celebrate a big anniversary in Devon. I’ll go back to Devon, but not to Sidmouth and not to the hotel.

I’ve done it a few times now and the one thing that would put me off again is the flight. After last one I suffered for about a week with jet lag. Other than that a fab place to go.

BringMeTea · 25/04/2024 11:05

Mallorca. Yes. This was 4th time in 3 years. Such a short flight. So beautiful.

ZeroFucksGivenToday · 25/04/2024 11:06

Phantasialand in Germany. Over Easter. Was brilliant. Can see why it has the rep of best themed theme park in Europe.
Will absolutely go back.

Crushed23 · 25/04/2024 11:08

Paris last week.

Absolutely would go back - I go to Paris at least once a year (I live in London so it’s just a short train ride away).

Radiatorvalves · 25/04/2024 11:16

The southern French Alps. We go a lot as have a holiday house. It’s off the beaten track and we love it. Use it as a base to explore the coast and the occasional trip to Italy.? Going back in July.

RainyTulips · 25/04/2024 11:20

Leverkusen. And no 😂

AngelsWithSilverWings · 25/04/2024 11:26

My last holiday was Corfu last October. Before that was also Corfu last July. I'm banned by the family from going again for a few years so it's Kos for us this year although I'd really rather go back to Corfu because it's my happy place. Maybe I'll fall in love with Kos too.

Flossflower · 25/04/2024 11:28

New Zealand, a driving holiday taking in both islands. I would go back in a flash but we can’t afford to!

In this post people have mentioned places that they would go back to that I wouldn’t dream of going back to. We are all different.

BarrelOfOtters · 25/04/2024 11:31

Japan last year - can't wait to go back. Probably a decent long trip when I retire in a few years time. I'd been before a long time ago so it was lovely to go back. So easy to travel round and so interesting.

CommeIlFaut · 25/04/2024 11:32

I had a couple of nights in Belfast with DS12 over Easter.

We had a great couple of days, and I very much enjoyed exploring the Titanic quarter, as well as finding out more about the history of the city. We ate fantastic food and the locals were very friendly, even more so than in other parts of Ireland I have visited. In Dublin and Wicklow the week before, we had April showers and some sunshine. However, Belfast was very overcast and rainy for the duration of our stay, and I understand this is pretty normal.

I’m pleased to have been, but I can’t say I feel the need to go back. I would definitely like to explore other parts of Northern Ireland, especially the countryside.

BarrelOfOtters · 25/04/2024 11:32

Mallorca - been about 5 times now over the last 15 years or so. So easy, so beautiful, considering booking again for this year.

bakermummy21 · 25/04/2024 11:33

Tavira on the eastern Algarve. Really nice town and would go back definitely

luckylavender · 25/04/2024 11:34

Crete last October. Loved it and would go back to the south of the island as stayed in north. So much to see.

Colinfromaccounts24 · 25/04/2024 11:35

Last trip was a weekend to Bath/ Cheddar Gorge. I would go back, not least because the caves were flooded and I would like to see them!

Weekend break - Prague. No, but only because I've been twice.

Trip - Azerbaijan, Georgia, Armenia. Absolutely 100% yes.

This is a part of the world that has always fascinated me and I would love to take my teens to visit. My daughter would love to see some of the cities on the Silk Road too.

Please say more about your trip!

IsThePopeCatholic · 25/04/2024 11:36

Connemara . Beautiful. I’d go back tomorrow.

WinkyTinky · 25/04/2024 11:37

Copenhagen and Malmo. Yes I want to go back as we didn't see enough as it was absolutely freezing and we spent too much time taking refuge from the spiky sleet in McDonalds 😫
There was an intriguing charity shop on the main street in Malmo that I was desperate to go in, but we had to rush past on our last day to make it to the train on time. I've thought about it every day since in frustration!
