Mine was Ghent, and yes I would but I wouldn't go out of my way. I think you would run out of things to do/see very quickly!

Munich and yes - if only for the beer gardens.

Peterhead (mentioned upthread) is an interesting destination.

Italy - Lake Garda. Would definitely go back. But then I keep going back to Italy- it’s the most wonderful place and I never get bored!

Last holiday was a Christmas Caribbean cruise. Spent Christmas day on a beach in St Lucia. Christmas dinner was macaroni and rum punch (lots of) on a catamaran.
Would I go back? Hell yes.

I adore Italy. I have been 9 times - all different places, and would go back in a heartbeat.

Cocoa Beach, Florida to visit family ......in September 2019.....with Thomas Cook.

No won't be going back. If I am going to travel that far again for a beach holiday, I think I'd find a much nicer one in the Caribbean.

Whitby. Had a brilliant weekend and will definitely go back!

Fluffygoon · 25/04/2024 00:14

Just got back from the west coast of Barbados - beautiful beaches, turquoise water and lovely people.

Cala D’Or in Majorca. Definitely my happy place. Have been to every continent but just whizzing to Majorca just lifts me mentally.

MrsAvocet · 25/04/2024 00:22

A small village in Argyll and yes - mainly because my DD lives nearby but also because I love that part of the world.
My last trip abroad was to Berlin which I would definitely return to. It was a last minute short break that in all honesty I didn't really want to go on but it exceeded my expectations massively and I would love to go back for longer.

Sissi, Crete. Going back to the same resort as laat year. Lovely place and people.

Rome is also a favourite (been 3x in 10 yrs) as is Salzburg (been twice, 20 yrs apart).

That's me heading off to Peterhead. We can't go too far from home because of DC and dogs who will be with my parents and DH used to be stationed at Buchan so he wants to see how it's changed up that way since he left the RAF. I'm just glad to get away for a couple of nights no matter where it is. All I need is a hotel room and some pubs and I'm happy. Grin

Tenerife (north of the island) - maybe - but only for winter sun.

abbey44 · 25/04/2024 00:33

I went to Tobago in February (been to the Caribbean many times, but this was my first trip to Tobago) and absolutely loved it. It was the perfect chilled out relaxed break I was looking for - I’m going back in June for more of the same. Can’t wait 😊

Snoopystick · 25/04/2024 00:48

Fuerterventura - lovely hotel but not too bothered about going back.

DramaAlpaca · 25/04/2024 00:56

Morocco, and no I probably wouldn't go back. I enjoyed it but there's lots of other places I want to see.

Vetoncall · 25/04/2024 01:07

Dubrovnik a couple of weeks ago. Have been before and will go again. We travel a lot but Croatia is one of my favourite places and keeps calling me back.

But you need a car

I don't drive and travel solo. Just fabulous.

Not going to give away my secrets LOL

I've not travelled with anyone else since I turned 17. There aren't any secrets, it's just travel.

Just back from Canada, Whistler and Vancouver, our second trip and would definitely go back. Spent a month in Bali earlier this year and will do another month later this year, I never get tired of Bali.

@MissingMoominMamma can I ask you where you stayed in Madeira. I have never been and have booked for me and DD to go. it looks so beautiful, and the hikes amazing

We always stay in Funchal Old Town, in airbnbs. I aim for close-ish to the cable car/lido, or near to the little gardens in the square. It’s not as posh as the other end, but is far nicer/more authentic. When are you going?

notacooldad · 25/04/2024 05:27

Last holiday was to Japan a couple of weeks ago with my friends. I absolutely loved it!

Madeira in January. We hiked a lot, swam and ate. I’ll definitely go back, I love it there
I love Maderia and go e ery other November.

RainbowRedPanda · 25/04/2024 05:27

Club Med Phuket - loved it! Until the kids got D&V...

I wouldn't go back though as it's very expensive and we went specifically to scuba dive and I didn't really rate the diving so wouldn't dive those sites again. The kids club was fab though.

Aposterhasnoname · 25/04/2024 05:28

Jamaica, and yes, would definitely go back
