David Lloyd causing problems with cheap 14 day trial

Has anyone else experienced this at their branch of David Lloyd? Over the past few days I began to wonder about a few ‘unusual’ new faces, particularly one lady in a fitness class who didn’t smell too great. I heard a couple of other members talking, they thought ‘she’s here on some sort of scholarship’? But David Lloyd need to be careful, if they want to charge high fees this isn’t great for the customer experience.? Thank god it’s only temporary.

It's like Benidorm! Fury as upmarket David Lloyd lures 'undesirables'

Members of David Lloyd clubs are up in arms after the chain began to admit 'undesirables' on cheap temporary memberships who act like 'it's Benidorm' inside the premises, it was reported yesterday.

Well, clearly poor people don't look normal, like the rest of us @CaptainCarrot

Was simply responding to her original personal attack on people she deems below her. don’t give if you can’t take

Yours was personal, hers was generic.

All you had to say was that you thought her comment was inappropriate, not insult her personally.

I didn't report the comment but clearly someone else did, as MN has zapped it, which kind of proves my point.

I have used a council leisure centre for nearly two decades and never encountered this sort of behaviour - the worst it gets is people hogging swimming pool lanes.

I'm slightly mystified you have genuinely taken offense with the fact someone not as well off as you is trying a gym! And then has the total lack of self awareness to post about it.
How sad is your life that you begrudge those you view as below you?

@LilyJessie where did I say I had any sort of issue with other people’s finances? My comment was about someone, who needed a shower, being near me in a fitness class.

Don't most people doing a fitness class need a shower by the end of it?

Elebag · 23/04/2024 16:54

bob we have nice showers at our gym and no one ever showers after a class.
Everyone is heading home and does it there.

I think I've used them about twice in 20yrs, when my home shower was broken.

I get my money's worth by using their showers ;-)
