Weird things that feel nice

I’m currently using ear drops due to an ear infection and I’d forgotten how much I love that feeling when you put them in, then after a few seconds they bubble and trickle down. I love that little tickle in your inner ear.

It got me thinking about other sensory things I like - another one is standing in bare feet on a thick piece of cardboard and feeling the “cells” of the cardboard squish.

Am I the only strange one or has anyone else got other weird but nice sensory feelings?!

I really like it when giving blood and they rub your inner elbow with an antiseptic swab for 30 seconds or so. I also like between my toes being rubbed 😳

I love pressing my forehead really hard against another person's forehead. Feels so good!

The smell of catalogues and to a similar (but not quite) extent the smell of a multi page glossy leaflet

The feeling of a tuft of my recently cut hair (still attached) being pressed by the flat of my thumb. When my hair is not recently cut I can achieve the same enjoyment from an artists paint brush.

Crunching stomps on frosty grass is the winter is amazing, as are crispy autumn leaves.

I love a back scratch.

I love a facial, not for the results, but for the massage. Bliss

Sticking my fingers into wet oasis, that green flower arranging block.

I like fabric between my toes. Like a fold of the sheet, or the edge of something. Can't explain

I hate that feeling!

Podding peas when you can zip them out with one swipe of your thumb.

Writing with a biro on rubber, like the edge of the sole of your trainers.

The achey feeling in your scalp when you brush your hair in the opposite direction from how it usually lies.

Less sensory but still oddly satisfying- opening the microwave door one second before it beeps.

That feeling when you take your shoes off and walk on a nice sandy beach.

I love the rush of getting an injection and the little pinch on your skin 🙈 I get so excited to have my blood drawn.

I also love the loosening/pressure release as you remove loads of dead skin off your feet. Feels like my feet can breathe again.

I love both eardrops and standing on cardboard. I also love pressing my fingers in wet florists foam. It's similar to walking in snow. But my very favourite feeling is putting the heel of one foot in-between my toe and the next toe of the other foot. I find it so relaxing and do it every night to help me sleep. I also love rubbing the soles of my feet together but I do it in a circular motion which also helps me nod off.

I just massaged my head with a similar thing, it’s so relaxing.
I also love sound and feel of running water. I can put hands under the tap and sit like this for ages.

If I go to bed later than my bf he leaves my side of the bed uncovered so it's really cold; so I get in to cold crisp sheets and can cuddle into nice warm him 😍

When eating raspberries I like to put whole one in mouth and stick my tongue in the hole left from the stalk bit then squish raspberry onto roof of mouth.

Got a new ear piercing and I know I shouldn't, but I keep twisting earring and feeling/hearing the little scab crunch.

My dogs ears. Like little pieces of soft, velvet.

I do like ASMR stuff even though I know it's kind of weird - just listening to someone describing a massage is really relaxing!
