I’m not sure the Fylde wouldn’t still vote Tory tbh. Tends to be largely conservative and Conservative because of the pockets of wealth and the presence of BAE Warton, which many wouldn’t want put at risk because of a (probably unfounded) worry that Labour would cut defence. But then again, they do have morals and a conscience, plus pockets of deprivation that are increasingly fed up of being ignored by the Tories despite all the fancy promises.

Because he'll be looking to election 2029 and to salvage what he can. I only say this because the Times have been running very sympathetic Badenoch stories for the last few weeks. It is noticeable. Gove and Badenoch made a point of meeting him last Autumn.

I suspect 2029 is nowhere near enough time for what remains of the Tory party to become remotely credible. Remember people will still be paying Liz Truss levels of interest on their mortgages. That's priced in for at least 10, 15 years.

These politicians live lives that would make a rockstar jealous! It's almost as if they are constantly coked-up with their genitals in hand or another person. When do they find time to do any work? Silly question, we can see from the state of the country that they rarely do.

I wonder if there would be a call for body cams for politicians, together with all police - a clean swipe of monitoring what the public funds are really being spent on? That would win my vote.
