I've lost a couple of stone over the last year - I was a bit overweight at 11st 7 and am now 9st 7. I was a size 12-14, still a size 10-12 which I'm kind of disappointed about. Some days I still feel really chubby, other days I feel great. Which is normal, I suppose, taking into account time of the month and what my diet has been like. My next plan is to start exercising properly and tone up a bit.

8 at 12 lbs, this is a bit heavier than normal, usually around 8st 9lbs (need to lose a few lbs to get back into my trousers comfortably!!)

Tarantella6 · 12/04/2024 07:32

I'm 62kg so much closer to 10st than I'd like to be. I would be happy under 60kg.

I was 8st when I was 18 but I think that ship has sailed, realistically I can't see myself getting under 9st ever again!

Picklesjar20 · 12/04/2024 07:33

7 stone 7 lbs usually (fluctuate few lbs either side)

Pregnant atm so dunno, but after last pregnancy settled around there again so guessing my body set weight.

Happy about it, i use to have binge eating issues and would yo-yo dramatically. Felt horrendous all the time then, physically too, like groggy sluggish just generally unwell.

After sorting out my emotional issues around food my weight stable and dont need to think about it anymore. My eating is more regular and i guess now christmas indulgence and periods like that doesn't effect it much..i laugh all these years of dieting and its only when i dont bother when i am older do i get a healthy bod😂😂

AgnesX · 12/04/2024 07:35

I would be happy at 10-10.5 St. I reckon that's achievable for me. As it is that's nearly 3 st I need to loose (I think, I've avoided the scales for a long time).

JadeSeahorse · 12/04/2024 07:39

I'm 5'3" and haven't weighed myself in years as it makes me paranoid.

I'm a size 10 top, size 8 waist but size 11 - yes I know it doesn't exist but you get the gist - hips so I often have to buy size 12 trousers/jeans which hang off my waist and always have to use the smallest belts.
I would imagine I am around 9 - 9.5 stone.

Such is life!😂

NavyPeer · 11/04/2024 23:03

I fluctuate between 63-65kg.

I have slightly more muscle than average and definitely feel a bit stockier and solid compared to other girls of my height

I’m a size 10 basically everywhere and a 28 inch waist in jeans and fitted clothes. Surprised that people lighter than me are saying they are a 12-14. Where are you all shopping?

I think must be me 😁😁😁
I'm the same as this

VoyOySaveloy · 12/04/2024 07:48

I am 5ft 4
I am naturally curvy and have lipedema (medical conditions where fat collects on legs).
Was 9 stone 6 at 17
Was 10 stone 7 at 28
Was 12 stone at 31
Back to 11 stone after my first child
12 stone plus through my late 30s and multiple pregnancies, set weight creeping up each time
13 stone 6 by my mid 40s, got down to 11.5 stone on a liquid only diet briefly aged 45
14 stone 6 by 50
Went on antidepressants at 51 which caused rapid weight gain, presumably alongside menopause
Now 15 stone 8 and absolutely determined to get back to 12 stone ish.

MyBrownEyedHandsomeBoy · 12/04/2024 07:56

I'm 5ft 0.5" over the years I've weighed from 12st 6lbs at my heaviest to 8st 3lbs at my lightest (this was all pre baby and due to slimming world)
I'm now 10st 10lbs after just losing 10lbs recently on slimming world again although it's definitely harder post child!
I will be happy if I can get to 9st 7lbs by June ready for my holiday. Then I will enjoy my holiday and see how I feel when I get back and if I want to reset my target then I'll only go as low as 9st. I looked too thin when I was 8st
I currently wear 14 but I can already feel the difference after losing 10lbs and I'm teetering into a size 12 now. I'll be happy at size 10-12

TheDogsMother · 12/04/2024 07:58

5 ft 3 and 8 stone 9. I'm very short in the body so any excess weight is round my middle. Happy weight is about 8 stone 5. I'm living in M & S stretch jeggings at the moment to accommodate recent hysterectomy tum. They are size 12 and quite snug 😮

Popplebop · 12/04/2024 07:59

5ft 3 (almost!) over 50 now. Weigh about 7.4/46kg about a month ago. Fairly standard weight and been pretty much the same since about age 30 apart from pregnancies.

LaWench · 12/04/2024 07:59

5`4. Was 15st 5 last year which is the heaviest I've been. Size 20 was getting tight. Cue big diet and exercise overhaul, I'm currently 12st 10 which is still overweight but I'm much more comfortable at this weight, size 14/16. Chubby hourglass. I've never been below 12.7 in my adult life so I'll be interested to see what weight looks best on me.

I'm 5ft4 & about 11 stone, size 12 I run & walk lots. I'm probably the fittest I've ever been but I'm not happy with my gunt. My meals are good but my snacks are bad! I am always hungry & I eat LOTS of biscuits, chocolate & crisps. I know I need to stop but the more I exercise the more I want to eat! I try to cut down & eat healthy but after 3-4 weeks of eating carefully there is no change so I give in.

This was me, most of my adult life. It turns out that sugar and processed carbs really really mess with my blood sugar control.

It took some hardcore low carbing (with lots of help from MN's low carb boot camp) for me to discover how to eat to not feel hungry (or lethargic from over eating) all the time.

Ironically I eat a lot more now (actual meat and veg) and just swerve all the 'stuff' biscuits, sweets, snacks.

Hope you find what works for you.

FinallyHere · 12/04/2024 08:17

Ooos, got distracted from saying I'm 160cms (5'3") and weigh 59-60kg,

I'm top heavy, size 10 on top, 8 on bottom

Have been as high as 95kg (15 stone) and as low as 50kg 7st 12lbs, feel absolute best a few lbs lower than I am now. My weight fluctuates a bit so no biggie.

Recommendafion · 12/04/2024 08:30

I was about 8 stone before babies, and am about 8.10 / 9 stone now (don’t have a scale but can tell by my clothes). I’m a size small. A 10 in some brands, 6/8 in generous ones like Toast!

I’ve been down in to 7.5 before (when in teens and 20s) and 9 is always my max.

I’m perimenopausal now so I think my body is probably going to stick at about 8.10/ 9. I eat well, exercise, I think this is probably the weight I’m fine with. I could eat less chocolate and lose a few more lbs, but I don’t need / want to.

BogRollBOGOF · 12/04/2024 08:37

5'2" and about 9st 10. Muscular pear shape so small bust, bit of a mum tum and a lot of glutes, thighs and calves. I'm stronger than when I was lighter. I'd be happy to see the lower end 9st again but wouldn't force my body into anything less and I wouldn't want to compromise my strength, stamina or speed to change the numbers on the scale.

I'm a 8-10 at the top, 10-12 on the lower half. It's my shoulders and arms that fill tops not my chest/ bust.

Monkeybusiness09 · 12/04/2024 08:45

I'm 5ft4 and 10 stone 11. I don't look 10 stone 11 though. I carry weight very heavy. I don't really want to drop any weight as it shows on my face. I remember when I was 9st 7 and looked awful. People carry weight differently. My sister is 5ft 3 and 9 stone but she looks heavier than me and her arms, legs etc would be bigger than mine.

cathyandclaire · 12/04/2024 08:47

I'm 5'3 and 8 st 5 at the moment. I've been between 8'3 and 9'3 for all of my adult life, now 56 and a size 8-10.

I feel better at or below 8'9 anything more and I feel I look stocky because I've got short limbs. Since menopause it's a constant battle to stay under 9 stone but I also low carb which helps.

Caspianberg · 12/04/2024 05:26

5’4 and 50kg (about 8stone). I have always since mid teens been around this. Gained 20kg (3 stone) when pregnant, but it went straight back to 50kg within weeks tbh. It’s just my natural weight I guess.

Very similar to me! Although it took longer for mine to come off. I couldn’t believe how much weight I was able to put on in pregnancy as usually I can’t. In my 2nd I put on about 50% of my body weight. I had HG and I was constantly eating to try to prevent the vomiting.

GU24Mum · 12/04/2024 09:02

5ft 3 on the nail and this morning was 15.6.75 (which I am not going to round up!).

Have yo-yo'd for ever and last briefly saw the "right" side of 10 stone in 2016. It's been creeping up and 2.5 years into a hideous job haven't helped and the last few months basically sedentary for 16 hours a day with a broken limb and lots of biscuits has got me to where I am today. Tried Ozempic/Wegovy but can't cope with the sickness so have taken a bit of time of work and am writing this after a gym class - have gone back to that and am trying to ditch the carbs and wine. Trying to find a sports bra to fit (havent managed it without an extender yet) was pretty off-putting.

TheBirdintheCave · 12/04/2024 09:13

I'm 5'3 and used to weigh around 8 stone with a 25 inch waist which looked good on me. I have chunky legs, round cheeks and fat upper arms so start to look chubby when I weigh anything more than that.

Post first child (and after a lot of work to shift the baby weight) I was 8.5 stone with a 27 inch waist which I was comfortable with.

Currently I'm 35 weeks pregnant with my second baby and look like a beach ball 😂

Tryingtoconceivenumber2 · 12/04/2024 09:21

I am 5ft 4 so slightly taller and 8 stone 9lbs.

I have recently lost 2 stone after having a baby. I am now an 8-10. I carry the majority of my weight on my thighs.

I think I have lost enough now and am trying to maintain which I have managed for a month so far. This was always the weight I was before 1st pregnancy but didn't get back to it until after 2nd pregnancy. Was the hardest to loose the last 6/7lbs x

Ineedwinenow · 12/04/2024 09:25

I’m 5’3 and a bit nearly 5’4 but not quite 😆 I currently weight 8.12 but my usual is 8.6-8.7 I’m happy at that weight, I’m a size 8-10 as I have a big arse and hips ( thanks mum)

hazelnutlatte · 12/04/2024 09:30

5ft 2 and 10 stone, size 10-12. I do a lot of exercise so some of it is muscle, but I definitely have a bit of excess fat around my middle. Pre kids I weighed 8 stone but I don't think that's realistic any more, I think I'd be happy at 9 stone.

PracticallyPerfectedIt · 12/04/2024 09:36

Wow. I'm 5ft3in and about 10 stone. I think of myself as fairly slim but I'm massively heavier than most replies on this thread. Not sure if I'm totally deluded or what?!

I'd like to be a bit flatter round the belly area (have had multiple c-sections) but apart from that I thought I was ok.

Monkeybusiness09 · 12/04/2024 09:36

Actually shocked at the amount of people who are around the 8 stone mark. Nobody I know in real life would be that small.
